Have we done this already? Sorry if we have. I don't include the host segments, so no talk of the considerable beauty of Bridget Nelson please (or the lovely Mary Joe Pehl either I hasten to add) -- at least, not in this thread! I'll go first. There are, in fact, quite a few beautiful women in the movies that got riffed, aren't there? But if I had to choose, and I appear to be forcing myself to by starting this thread, I'd have to go with Marisa Mell, Austrian actress who made quite a name for herself in the Italian movie business in the 60s, and was even known here in the States. She was in two riffed MST films, actually -- Secret Agent Super Dragon and the very last film of them all, Danger: Diabolik. Here she is with natural hair color: And in Diabolik, her more classic blonde look: She was from Graz, a city in the ancient eastern Austrian province of Styria. According to people who knew her, she had quite a sense of humor, and it would have been fun to get her reaction to the riffing of the films, but she was a very heavy smoker and died all too young of throat cancer in 1992, at the age of 52.

Marisa Mell is cute, no doubt. but I'd take either of the Morgan sisters (from Girls Town) over her: Mamie Van Doren as Silver or Elinor Donahue as Mary Lee.

Solid choices, but for me there is only one answer, Kathy Ireland:

when i saw bix had posted in this thread, i had to check in to make sure gloria was still his true love. nice to see one relationship that has stood the test of time. and here's some trivia about elinor, the woman who played silver's kid sister in girls town - she played ross and monica's aunt on friends - it was one time, i think - the one where ross and monica's grandmother dies. i saw it on imdb, i have no idea why i was there at the time, though.

And of course her most famous role was as Betty on Father Knows Best, arguably the most iconic of all 50s family sitcoms. She's perky and lovable, the quintessential 50s teenage American girl. She doesn't push anyone off a cliff on that show. Gloria in The Sinister Urge -- wasn't she the boss lady with the voice that sounds like The Penguin? It's interesting how different sensibilities lead to different answers. I like the 60s type of Euro mystery woman, which is why I'd choose Marisa Mell. Very different from the all-American bombshell blonde like Mamie Van Doren -- by the way, hope Mamie's ok. She enthusiastically adopted Twitter and tweeted away like a mad woman, only to suddenly fall completely silent about a year or so ago. We should do one for hunkiest hunks too, one of these days.

Mary Beth Hughes. Ooh la AND la! I'm willing to go "ooh la" with you on that one, but "AND la" is simply uncalled-for. There are children reading this.

She's perky and lovable, the quintessential 50s teenage American girl. She doesn't push anyone off a cliff on that show. She is, however, a Grade-A snot as Commissioner Nancy Hedford in the classic Star Trek episode "Metamorphosis".

Elinor Donahue as Mary Lee. I remember her best as Ellie on The Andy Griffith Show (Yeah, I'm old. Wanna fight about it?!?) When I first saw her in Girlstown, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Man, is she gorgeous.

I kinda like the actress who played Valeria in "Robot Holocaust" (name escapes me). Granted, she wasn't "gorgeous", but she's one of those women where it's more in the character tics, or personality that makes the woman attractive (kind of like Shelley Long). Also, that accent was so weird, it was awesome.
Also, the actress who played Nina in "The Atomic Brain". She was just adorable. Was so glad she doesn't get killed in the film.
