Does anyone know what font is used for the end credits of the show?
Thanks,
S

Wow. That's a good question, hadn't thought of it before. Didn't the font change a bit as the show went on, too?
I'm not sure how to research this, but I'm pretty sure there are people about who do. ...or maybe I'm thinking of a different circle of people.

I think it did change, yes.
I joined a typesetting forum and am trying to see if they recognize it.
I would imagine it was generated by the editing console (whatever that might have been.)
If that info could be tracked down, there's probably info on what it can generate.

So, you're subtitling the show, eh? Neat. You have your work cut out for you. In the theme song, when Joel is doing the robot roll call when it gets to the CROOOOOWWW! part, you have "he's a wise-cracker". I always thought it was "little wise-cracker" but I could be wrong.

Way to go on nailing that one typeface.
Cheltenham, as I recall, was used in the Season 1 credits.
In Seasons 2 and 3, it looked like they went with some flavor of Helvetica that probably came with their editing/titling system.
That bold compressed sans-serif face -- my personal favorite, the "classic" MST3K credits font -- went from Seasons 4-7. Anybody know what that one was?
Then, of course, there's that classic American Typewriter face in the Sci-Fi credits.

I think my appreciation for the credit fonts is inversely proportional to how far along the show went.

Yep, tell me about it. I just finished 106 and 107 should be underway next week.
I only have 1 person helping out so far with proofing/editing, so getting the episodes corrected and on youtube takes a little time.
103 and 104 should be up this week.
I got the lyrics from the mst3kinfo.com site.

When I get to the next seasons, I will post the new credits to see if they can identify them.
