I want to revise my earlier VOlume 43 guesses: Here goes:
309-Amazing Colossal Man
311-It Conquered the World
319-War of the Colossal Beast
809-I Was A Teenage Werewolf
I have doubts on an MST3k vs. Roger Corman-themed set being not quite as marketable at retail for a big DVD release during the holiday season. Daniel Griffin also mentioned he was interviewing people regarding American International Pictures, not just Corman. He had lined up The Angry Red Planet director, Ib Melchior, who passed away before he could interview him for his documentary projects recently. I think Shout Factory has struck a deal with Susan Hart, as I've mentioned before, citing the evidence. These are all notable AIP movie episodes, and SHout has almost always striven to release extra special MST3k DVDs during the holiday season.
Look at past Shout holiday releases:
Fall 2008: 20th Anniversary DVD tin with Crow figure (Volume X111)
Fall 2009: Volume XVI with Tom Servo
Fall 2010: Volume XIX with Gypsy figure
Fall 2012: Volume XXV with the first major studio titles from MGM and Universal
Fall 2013: 25th Anniversary-theme Tin set
Fall 2014: Turkey Day Collection in tin case
Fall 2015: Amazing Colossal Teenage Conqueror set theme?
The only exception to this release rule was the VOlume 22 DVD set in 2011, which was overshadowed by the Gamera VOlume XXI release during that summer. Otherwise, every other holiday DVD release is a big deal, a new milestone.
I think Shout would prefer to package the 2 Colossal Man movie episodes together. I've heard Bert I. Gordon recorded new commentary tracks for their upcoming Blu-ray releases of Food of the Gods and EMpire of the Ants recently. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think Shout and/or Daniel Griffin might be doing more work with the 92-year old Gordon for more MST3k releases, even though he participated for The Magic Sword release, as well as Rhino's Tormented Volume 11 DVD previously. He's not getting any younger.
