Exactly. Like let's be honest. When the hell are we ever going to see THESE episodes pop up? *cough cough* Rocketship X-M, The Amazing Colossal Man, Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, Terror from the Year 5000, It Conquered the World, I was a Teenage Werewolf, Deathstalker and Being from Another Planet *cough cough* So, how confident are you now about the appearance of the other films in your list popping up? Deathstalker and Being from Another Planet were definitely a surprise, I will say that. At this point, personally, I could potentially see Rocketship X-M come if Wade Williams gives in (if he really does want a lot of money), Susan Hart's titles I feel like are questionable now..... Godzilla I honestly think has no chance. I mean, Toho are very strict over their giant rubber monster and from what it looks like, the North American rights are complicated. So...... who knows really. I mean, anything is possible, but personally I think there still might not be hope for the Susan titles and Godzilla.

Don't take it as official or anything, but in one of the countless interviews Joel gave during the start of the Kickstarter campaign, he mentioned that someone at Shout! told him that there were about 20 episodes that they felt they wouldn't be able to release. If that's true, we're probably getting close to the end of the boxed sets. It's probably a big reason Shout! wants to bring the show back -- since they're running out of episodes to sell, it's time to start making more.
And of course, once Shout! does get to the point where they can't keep releasing four-episodes sets on a reliable basis, it's not like it closes the door completely on the problem episodes. Should Shout! ever square those circles with Hart and Toho, the episodes could always get VOD releases.

The only episodes I feel might never get a release really are just Godzilla and maybe the Hart films.
I have honestly questioned what's up with the Dark Sky films. I do worry if those episodes just aren't capable of getting a release or Shout's just finishing up with the big boys first. Also I hate to ask this, and I may have asked this before, but was there ever a direct source that Wade Williams wants like basically an infinite amount of money for Rocketship X-M?

He holds Rocketship XM close to his heart and he does want more for his titles than they are worth. Dark Sky lost the rights to The She Beast, maybe the rights to their MST used titles will expire and then SF can jump in.

There are only 26 episodes left to release, so about 20 unreleasable episodes puts us only 1-3 sets away from the end.

The Susan Hart titles and Godzilla films are obvious, but 20 seems more than even I would have thought. Perhaps the Paramount-owned titles are proving difficult to license? The only episodes I feel might never get a release really are just Godzilla and maybe the Hart films. I have honestly questioned what's up with the Dark Sky films. With the Dark Sky films we'll just have to wait and see if Shout is saving them for after the big studio titles or not. The last info I heard on ROCKETSHIP X-M was some potential issue with Warner having the Canandian distribution rights (which I'm sure Wade would argue he has worldwide rights), but that was years ago. That wouldn't seem to be too huge an obstacle, unless Shout had to pay both Wade AND Warners. The more likely scenario is that Wade wants more money for ROCKETSHIP X-M since he's particularly fond of it.

I'm not going to lie, I'm going to laugh a little bit if Track of the Moon Beast is one of the titles they can't get.
I'm telling you guys, that song California Lady is crazy expensive. Lol
