Whatever is up should be interesting. I noticed Rifftrax is selling MST3K DVDs now, too, at least on a limited basis.
EDIT: Oops, those eps are available for streaming or download, don't think there are DVDs available from them.

Why would they need to change the name? Why change the name to any company? I could merely be cosmetic, to help bring MST into modern day. The fact that they've changed the name only recently likely means there's something important happening, since MST was Best Brains livelyhood and hasn't really been producing anything except nostalgia for over a decade. This probably means they have something new to offer, MST related or not, that means they're going to be more active in the future. Of course it might not mean jack and Jim decided to change it because he didn't think he had the "Best Brain" anymore. |

Does anyone know if the newly christened "Consolidated Puppets Incorporated" has any connection to the Shout Factory owned reboot? If not, what is CPI going to do now? Cinema Titan LLC is apparently going to shut down entirely. What's going to happen to those 12 recordings they made? Do you think Shout might be buying them along with MST3K since they're both Joel projects? It would be nice if those last three Cinematic Titanic movies they riffed were remade as MST3K episodes since it's unlikely CT will ever get back together to record them.

I'd really love to see the Cinematic Titanic shows picked up by Shout Factory, or even released on RiffTrax's website as VOD titles. It's a shame THE ASTRAL FACTOR and DOLL SQUAD never made it to DVD, it'd be great if they could use the riffing scripts for the new reboot! |
