I went to the rebroadcast and it was indeed as WONDERFUL as the first time around! I'm def going to purchase the orginal Trax with Thumbelina as the insert story so I have the bookended set of terror and bewilderment.

I bought this on Rifftrax when it aired since I wasn't able to go see it live (damn work schedule). I LOVED it! Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny is already one of my favorite Rifftrax and I love that we got another version. Hungover Santa not getting off his ass to help the kids is just as funny the second time around. The giant DEFINITELY stole the show in the Jack and the Beanstalk interlude. Hearing the audience's reaction to stuff with Mike, Bill and Kevin elevated some of the riffs, like the appearance of the Male Camel Toe.
The shorts were hilarious as well. I had already seen Santa's Enchanted Village from their holiday special but I was ok seeing it again because it's just so deranged. And of course there's OH COME AND WATCH THE MONKEYS...

Watched this one a few days ago. Like the blurb on the RT site, I can't imagine that people actually paid money to watch this movie in a theater unriffed. If they did, the kids must've felt profoundly ripped-off.

If they did, the kids must've felt profoundly ripped-off. It's a really good choice for Rifftrax (and I think would have worked for MST3K too) because there's so much material for them to work with. The hungover Santa, the random animals on the beach, the bad acting in the fairy tale interludes, the props and sets that cost maybe 10 bucks to make altogether, the sheer horror of the Ice Cream Bunny reveal.
