Triple_sSs, what exactly was your question? They seem to think it might only be a flaw on their own streaming service? Well in my comment I was pointing out the damaged section of the Pod People episode from when I saw it from online streams, and was asking if they could make sure it's fixed for the DVD release. I bet they know what I mean, plus they said they'd pass it along just in case too. is anyone able to post a quick snippit of the glitch so we can reference it to them? Wish I could, but I don't own a copy of Shout's transfer right now. But if need be, perhaps I could try buying it from them sometime soon and pull the glitch from there.

I'm curious if Shout will use the Tom Servo bumpers to Shorts Volume 1 or if those were owned by Rhino. I'm guessing they'll be able to use them since they own the show now, but still I wonder. I'm under the impression that the Shorts volume (and the Servo bumpers) was an original BBI production. It was originally sold directly from BBI through Satellite News on VHS, I believe, so Rhino was licensing it from BBI the same way Shout would have pre-ownership. They straight-up own it now, baby.

Curious, did anyone order this directly through Shout Factory? I'd be nice to know the Rights holders of the episodes if anyone did.

Okay, so it actually showed up today. The only film that was licensed was Angels Revenge, the others have no license listings (Travis did say Cave Dwellers and Pod People were PD, right?).
"Angels Revenge under license from Multicom Entertainment Group, Inc."

I would love to see a review of this set. Specifically, is the video/audio quality better than the original version? I am wondering if I should double dip or not...

I would love to see a review of this set. Specifically, is the video/audio quality better than the original version? I am wondering if I should double dip or not... Also can anyone confirm if they fixed the corrupted section of Pod People? Really hoping they took care of that. It's been fixed. They must have spliced it in from an uncorrupted source but it's not completely seamless. I looked at it really closely and could tell that the framing is different since the silhouettes shift a little bit down where the corruption was (and only for that section). I skimmed through the rest and I can't say it looks all that good. There's a fuzzier look to it with damage in some spots, just looking really worn out. The Shorts disc looks really fuzzy too. Cave Dwellers isn't quite as bad but not great either. Angels Revenge is the only one I've watched all the way through and it's definitely the sharpest looking of the four. I only noticed a handful of tape hits, nothing that I would consider too distracting (but I need to watch it more closely next time). If you own the Rhino set but are considering getting the re-release for, say, the MST Hour bumpers (which look pretty good), maybe wait until you can get it dirt cheap somewhere down the line. I'm personally okay with it. The picture on Pod People is probably the biggest fault with the set but they at least tried to patch up that one spot (the thing that bugs me in particular is that they also left out the last commercial break bumper despite leaving all the others in, although I have an idea why they cut it. I mostly got this just for Angels Revenge since it has unique bumpers that are missing on the Rhino edition).

Huzzah it's fixed! Even if the overall quality isn't top notch, it's really that one part I wanted fixed and I'm glad they took care of it. Again I don't have the original Vol 2 so I hope to pick up this re-release once it's out.

I wonder if this new Pod People will have the previously-missing-few-second-chunk reinstated? What's that? I got the Volume 2 just recently (I had the single VHS tapes previously) and I never knew there was missing seconds...
