Here are some more shows that I just do not get:
Family Matters: It was pretty decent, in the beginning where we focused more on the Winslow family, but then it just got so bogged down in Urkel, it lost it's charm. Plus,I never liked Urkel, he seemed to me to be somewhat of a stalker.
NCIS: I cannot take the fact Abby can seemingly never be wrong or be criticized in any way whatsoever. Anyone who doesn't lionize her is either wrong or evil. I hate that. Plus i do not care for the character who replaced Ziva, she just grates on my nerves.
Bones: Ooh, look I'm Temperence Brennan and I am a totally inept at social situations. But I am completely brilliant. Plus there is that asshat lab guy, whose snooty remarks toward anyone who disagrees with him would cause me to toss him into a pit of vipers. Or not. That would be unfair to the vipers.
Everybody Loves Raymond: No, not everyone loves that whiny little creep. Debra is a horrid shrew, Marie is a meddlesome busybody, and Frank is a boorish lout. Robert is okay, probably the only character I like.
M.A.S.H.: It was good for the first 5 or so seasons but then Alan Alda stated writing episodes and Hawkeye became more and more obnoxiously righteous in his views, and the show suffered.
Modern Family: Phantom is dead on about this show, the jokes are forced and self-congratulatory. I have never laughed at this show, the characters are obnoxious or blah, and it just gives me a headache.

For me I liked M*A*S*H when Radar was there. When Radar left the shows heart left with him. He was the one character when I was young I associated with.
Friends: They'll never be my friends.
Family Guy: Remember when some idiot decided to create this show? We should have stopped him.
Seinfeld: I was a big, big fan of It's Garry Shandling's Show so this came off as a cheap copy of it.
Any reality TV show: No thank you. Nothing to see here.
The Addams Family: I just couldn't get into this show. As least The Munsters had Grandpa and lovable Herman.
As for Full House and Family Matters, they were intended as light entertainment like The Brady Bunch and Leave it to Beaver and as such worked well enough. I do think both worked well in the first two to three seasons then just became goofy after that.
And I happen to like Everybody Loves Raymond. It did the old-school style of comedy of the slow build, the type of comedy Laurel and Hardy were great at. But comedy can be tough because what might make me laugh may make others groan.

I happened to more or less "overhear" a good couple episodes of Parks and Rec yesterday. I'm a Hoosier, and the show takes place in Indiana, but it felt like it was written to be just about anywhere. I suppose that's not really a problem, since most shows are, but then they went out of their way to take some jabs at how boring this place is. We can make fun of our own state, thanks; we don't need some bozos in Cali who've never been here more than a week to do it. Sorry, too much?
I kind of like The Office, but I didn't get this one. Perhaps it's that in The Office, though they used the same style of "not really jokes as much as people being bizarre" comedy, most actors' delivery on that show carried the funny, which is absent from P&R.
Or, perhaps it's just my anaphylactic reaction to anything featuring Amy Poehler.
