I was going through the MST Hour segments today and I couldn’t help but notice that some of the bumpers are missing from their respective DVD releases. I’m talking about Viking Women and the Sea Serpent, War of the Colossal Beast and Space Travelers. I don’t know what the extras are for the next set, but I’m assuming that The Human Duplicators won’t have the wraps on the DVD either (though special features hasn't been announced yet). It seems like a strange omission considering that Shout made an effort to have all these segments restored. You can argue that the MST Hour was a failed venture into cutting the show down to an hour and putting them into syndication, but there’s still a charm in seeing Mike’s persona of Jack Perkins with his cheerful buoyancy and under the stage light antics. Those elements alone make the segments worth seeing the light of a disc. {Unrelated Note from Me}
Before anyone asks, I changed my mind regarding my quest to see every MST3K episode on account of working things out. That’s why that post is deleted, but who cares?

I halfway expect Shout to put out an extra DVD with the final set like they've been doing that compiles the host segments of unreleased episodes, possibly unreleased MST Hour wraps and KTMA segments as well. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

The episodes missing their MST Hour wraps were the ones put out by Rhino, correct? I think they started getting included with the Shout! releases, and Shout! has also been including them on re-releases. Am I wrong on this?

The problem is that Shout has to be reminded of this stuff. They already reissued The Unearthly twice and almost forgot to include the Hour wraps during the third release, but people kept pointing it out in the comment section. It does suck that they did miss three previous episodes though. The episodes missing their MST Hour wraps were the ones put out by Rhino, correct? I think they started getting included with the Shout! releases, and Shout! has also been including them on re-releases. Am I wrong on this? The three listed in the OP are Shout releases that are missing the hour wraps. The only Rhino DVDs that included the wraps were Tormented and Secret Agent Super Dragon, both from Vol. 12. Here's a list of all of the remaining MST-Hour episodes that haven't had their wraps on DVD yet. Stars next to the ones that Shout missed; 309 - The Amazing Colossal Man 311 - It Conquered the World *317 - The Saga of the Viking Women... (V. 34) *319 - War of the Colossal Beast (V. 34) 321 - Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (Essentials) *401 - Space Travelers (V. 32) 402 - The Giant Gila Monster (V. 10.2) 404 - Teenagers from Outer Space (V. 6) 408 - Hercules Unchained (V. 7) 410 - Hercules Against the Moon Men (V. 7) 418 - Attack of the the Eye Creatures 420 - The Human Duplicators (V. 37, Missing One Segment) 507 - I Accuse My Parents (Single Release)

Which Rhino sets are those released episodes from? I wonder how long until Shout reissues and includes the wraps.

^I updated the list to include the volume releases. The only Rhino sets that would need to be reissued with wraps are 6, 7, and 10.2, along with Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and I Accused my Parents.

Thanks. SF should have no issue with 6&7 adding the wraps, as long as they don't "forget". The ones they missed, might be a while. Those single issue dvds would make good filler for upcoming sets with fewer and fewer releasable episodes. I'd have no issue with paying for them again, if they had some nice bonus content.

So Shout did include Hour Wraps with Human Duplicators, but for some reason the opening segment for Part 2 is missing. I'm not sure if it was a mistake, or if Shout couldn't find the segment.

Thanks for compiling this. From what I can tell, all missing MST Hour wraps are available through fan trading sites such as DAP, with one exception: I Accuse My Parents. Right now, that's the only "lost" MST Hour out there.
And in regards to episodes that have seen multiple releases...
-Only the Shout! single release of Manos has the wraps -Volume II re-issue from Shout! has the wraps for Cave Dwellers and Pod People, but the original out of print release from Rhino does not -Volume III re-issue from Shout! has the wraps for The Unearthly, but the original out of print release from Rhino does not
Did I miss anything?

I find it odd why Shout has to be "reminded" to release the MST hour segments if they've had absolutely no problem releasing them in the past.
I mean, some MST hour wraps I've heard don't exist anymore, but I could be wrong.

Someone asked in the comment section of the Shout! page for that product, and Shout! said it was simply a mistake.

Those slate reels from Seasons 4-5 are really trivial bits, so those omissions can be forgiven.
