Also, watched the interview with the Track of the Moon Beast actress. Seems like a pretty nice person, and she provided some good info about the creation of the movie and her career (of sorts). She seemed happy that MST3K did the movie and enjoyed the episode. Yeah, this interview was really interesting. She said that she cried the first time she saw it in the 80's because of how bad it was, but seeing the MSTed version "made all the tears and embarrassment worth it" due to how funny it was.

So I got my copy of Vol XXXVIII recently and finished it recently. Not a bad set, but when I was playing the extra for Track of the Moon Beast ("Tracking A Moon Beast With Actress Leigh Drake"), around halfway though it started pausing repeatedly and my DVD player couldn't read the disc well for some reason, thus I wasn't able to see the rest of the interview. Has anyone else had this problem? I've never had this happen with any of my other Shout discs, so it's pretty frustrating. Should I try and contact Shout about his problem, for a possible replacement? And how would I go about doing that?

Weird. Watched that interview with no problems.

Yeah, no problems here either. I'm guessing it's just something bad with your specific DVD, rather than a widespread problem.
I've never returned anything to Shout for defective merchandise, but I did an exchange for their Army of Darkness Blu-Ray set due to an issue with two of the versions missing brief scenes that they had an exchange program for, and that was painless and quick. They should have a link on their website for returns.

Try playing on another machine or a PC first, just to make sure the disc is at fault. Defective discs do escape into the wild once in a while.
