The Mads updated their FAQ yesterday. The buzz on Facebook was that Shout is giving former cast members residuals from DVD sales (they didn't when Best Brains owned the property), but buried down in the FAQ was this: "Our good friends at Shout Factory will be handling Cinematic Titanic titles from now on, so you can be assured to get your CT fix very soon." www.themadsareback.com/?page_id=10

I'd love for it to happen, though concede it's probably unlikely that the last few shows will ever be released (I don't even think they were filmed).
Since Joel is one the best of terms with Shout, I'd say this was inevitable.

I missed most of their DVDs and have been kicking myself for it, so this would suit me fine.

Since Joel is one the best of terms with Shout, I'd say this was inevitable. There is a bootleg of Astral Factor, someone recorded the audio of a live show and merged it with the video. But it would be cool if we got them all. Maybe during season 2 they could get everyone together to riff the already written scripts for the final three films.

Cool. I didn't get the last two or three DVDs.

Since Samson and the Seven Miracles of the World was only performed a few times, I wonder if that's a lost cause for a DVD.

J Elvis said they didn't record any of the unreleased episodes, so unfortunately they are lost.

Since Joel is chummy with Shout, maybe they'll have a financial incentive for a few one-off shows to get those scripts filmed in front of an audience?
I went on an eBay bender last year and bought all the live DVDs, but this is cool for everyone so that you don't have to pay huge amounts on the secondary market to get 'em.

That'd be the next best thing to a video of the actual shows. The movies, and the riffs thereof, were too funny to be lost for good.

Just a heads up: Joel confirmed in the live Q&A that a DVD set is in the works. However he claimed it was being put out by Rhino. I think he just said the wrong name, but there's confirmation.

Great news! A little sad that this confirms there will be no release for he unreleased shows, but that was always unlikely.

*drools a little* Awesome news! I was hoping there'd be a re-release of the CT DVDs like this.

Looks like this will be a 6-disc set, so two movies per disc. Were the only extras on the old DVDs previews for other episodes?
I imagine the packaging will be a thick DVD case with multiple trays (like the Super Sentai DVDs). Perhaps it will have a slipcover.
