Someone pointed this out to me earlier today. Apperantly Mike tweeted about this last month...
Seems like after over a decade away from the pen, Mike is working on a sequel to his novel. Sign me up! I was a huge fan of Death Rat. He'll I might dig it up and give it a read once all the MST hype settles.

I can dig it.
Did anyone ever find out the pilot that Mike worked on? He mentioned it during the 2002 Dragon-con panel he did with Kevin. As far as I know it has never been identified. Always been kind of curious about the lost projects. I think he wrote a screenplay at one point too.

It was likely never filmed, or if it was it flew under the radar and was forgotten. Mike probably doesn't even remember it anymore.

Nice! I really enjoyed Death Rat when it came out. A rare bit of casual reading from a time when I was, frankly, floundering on reading thanks to school. Probably kept me interested in literature, along with Neil Gaiman's comic books.
I'm not sure I see how a direct sequel could be done, but I suppose an indirect sequel (new story, same characters/same location) could work... still, I should leave such speculation until I have more to go on. I'm excited either way.

I apparently missed that tweet, but this is awesome news. I loved "Death Rat!" I've read it every 3 or 4 years or so since it released. So funny.
