This has been talked about before in the various threads a little, but now that it's here, and we know pretty much as fact that the whole season is going to "drop" on Netflix on day one--
How are you going to watch the new season?
I'm pretty sure I read that on this board they're going to go for a one a week form for the discussion threads. That's reasonable. I think you'd have to be a bit daft to binge watch these--it's not like its a serial drama that is one continuing story from ep to ep. Each ep here is a complete movie.
For me, I'm gong to watch these very slowly, maybe only one every few weeks. Ideally, I would like to space it out so that we've just hit the Christmas season when I get to the Christmas episode. Of course, I rarely watch a whole MST3K ep in one sitting any more. Often it takes more than two sittings when I'm just rewatching an old ep for a bit before bed. I doubt I will be able to do that with these new ones, but I bet I'll still end up watching most of them in two sittings.
What about you guys?

Since some folks are getting them in just a few hours, I guarantee I'll be done by Monday.

It's going to be a semi-binge for me. I have life and stuff, lol, so pretty much when I have free time an MST episode will be on my TV.
And I may cheat and leave my Netflix app on all night to keep the show trending, lol.

Planned on trying to go one a week, but yesterday I watched 1101 about 2 1/2 times throughout the day. It just feels so good and makes me smile. Will probably binge some at first. Then slow down as the weeks progress. Or I'll be done by Monday.

I'm hoping at least 1 per week, depending on time. I will watch them via Netflix, even though I'll have the downloads. I hope to bump the "ratings" up just a little. I would encourage everyone to rate them 5 stars if you use Netflix (and on your friends account as well when they're not looking), despite your revival enthusiasm level.

My heart says "binge!", but my head says "you crazy!"
If I had better self-control, I would do it the way the Bob3K is doing it and space them out one per week. That's the traditional way they should roll out, and frankly these may be the last new episodes we ever get so I would like to savor and stretch them out over time rather than binge them all at once. But realistically, if these all drop together on Friday (or at 12:01am tomorrow, if you're a 085+ KS backer like me) that ain't ever gonna happen. I imagine I'll probably watch #1102 tomorrow night after work, and then maybe get #1103 in by Friday. Will watch 1 or 2 more on the weekend, depending on how things go. Then at that point I might go back and re-watch the first 5 to catch anything I might have missed before tackling the next block.
But yeah...anyone who binges all 14 back-to-back has gotta be a special breed of MSTie.

Even though the movie was bad, it had enough visual action to keep it interesting. I'm hoping the rest are the same level of "interesting to watch".

I will watch as many episodes in the backer preview as time will allow (damn you, adulthood). I'll probably spend most of my weekend watching the episodes on Netflix to increase the early views and hopefully get it trending. It'll probably take me a few weeknights to finish the season.

As much as the poor print quality sometimes fueled some great riffs (e.g. the "I'm back!" re-appearing elf from Girl in Gold Boots), I must say it's nice having these otherwise bad movies be in pristine, HD-quality. It really is easier on the eyes.

Netflix actually changed their rating system to a simplified "thumbs up/thumbs down" last week. Same principal applies though.

I truly, sincerely, honestly want to discipline myself to one a week, in order and as spoiler-free as possible, preferably late Saturday evening.
However there is one rumored movie title that, if it is in there, will tempt me. And I know that the moment that I deviate - however slightly - from my intended viewing strategy, I'll treat the season like it was a can of Pringles.

After 18 years of no MST3K, I do not have the willpower to just watch one a week. I like to bingewatch or at least go for a double feature when I watch MST3K, that's just how I watch it now. I'll probably watch the first two episodes on Netflix before bed on the night they're released, then continue to watch two per day until the season is finished. Then I'll re-watch them all with family at least once. Once they've all become familiar, I will continue to play them in the background while I do other things during the day (and maybe leave them playing at night like Torgo said) to try to keep the show trending. I wasn't able to donate to the kickstarter (a fact I deeply regret), so the only way I have to support the show is through viewership, and I'm taking that seriously.

I'll watch a episode whenever I can until I get through all 14. I'm not watching any more until they hit Netflix, and I can probably fit 2-3 a day (for the weekend at least, tho I do have easter plans). I might finish them in 5-6 days.
Besides time constraints, I have to wait until the internet isn't being used by others in the household. It's hard to share 0.7mbps.
I'm not really planning on discussing them heavily, since others will be watching them at a slower pace. That reminds me, is anyone going to make episode discussion threads for the rest of the episodes? I'm sure there are some who will start watching them tomorrow when they go up on VHX.

I think I might trade off between new episodes and Vol. 38, to stretch things out a little bit. Plus, there's RiffTrax Live on Thursday, and I'm going to see The Mads on Saturday. It's a full week of riffing.
