More evidence on the series having a predetermined order: the Invention Exchange in 1107 makes specific reference to previous invention exchanges and a relation to episodes in general. While I won't spoil the gag for Bob, this entire exchange would not have worked had the episodes been listed out of order. I think we can all agree that it was perceived and written in a certain order. That doesn't mean they shot it in that order. There's no reason to think they even shot the different parts in order. For example, Felicia and Patton probably came in and shot all of their host segments in like one or two days. Then, a day or two later (or earlier), Jonah and the bots shoot all their host segments. Meanwhile, they're pre-recording all the riffs. And then some other time, they are recording the pantomimes for the theater segments for the riffs. (That's been mentioned too, in other interviews.) When you know the schedule of this thing, it makes you wonder if the various sets were even up at the same time, like maybe they struck the Mads set, to put up the SOL set. And, don't forget my original post wasn't just speculation, it was based on direct comments from Baron and Joel from the prescreen FAQ. I'm aware the post was based on comments made by the cast because I read those comments too. However I'm just throwing out here that there was a predetermined viewing order, which you seemed to have been questioning. Like I said, I don't know in what order these were shot, but when they were shot there was an order in mind.

Well, as the sycophants on Reddit and the Revival League keep saying, they HAD to make it this way because getting everyone together at once is IMPOSSIBLE because they all have other jobs that they won't quit for this, so we should just get used to it. Besides, this new show is GRADE-A, PERFECT and AWESOME! And if you disagree, you're just too nostalgic! Gotcha, everyone who straight up loves the new series are wrong, grow up. Not what I said...

I think there is an intended viewing order but like any large movie nothing is shot in order it is presented, there are first second and third units in various locations filming perhaps simultaneously. Just my 3 cents

I was pretty excited for this board picking up with the new series. But there's a few folks who have just blown up the board with weird anger and negativity and it's just bumming me out. I like the new version. I think I'm going to stay away from here since it's kinda become the soapbox for a couple of loud voices.

There's probably too many people who think the season is flawless and there's also too many people who feel they should've used Midwestern, unknown actors, should've filmed in Minnesota and needed to recreate the writing process step by step, so it's not *really* MST3K, just corporate hacks reprocessing my show. I do have a large axe to grind with the latter, but c'mon guys, there's good and bad and for a season filmed in Not Minnesota, it did just fine, even exceeding a few expectations.
