Taking into account that these suggestions are unlikely to be heeded (not blaming, just making an observation), I would think the most likely suggestion I might make, that might be acted upon, would be to find more movies of a higher general caliber. I found too many of the Season 11 movies to be DREADFUL to get through on their own merits, and while I can't explain precisely how, there are "quality" issues that go into many older movies, like good camera work, nice scoring, good dialogue (even when the premise is ridiculous) that carry a B-movie along. Take, for example, many of the B-grade Universals and their ilk. I'm thinking of "Leech Woman," "Thing That Couldn't Die," "Deadly Mantis," even "The Undead." There remains a level of quality control that makes these movies enjoyable at some level, and too many of Season 11 movies don't seem to have it. It's the same reason I don't re-watch "Monster A-Go-Go" or "Castle of Fu Manchu" from the old series. So, for me, "Carnival Magic," "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom" or whatever it was called, and "Starcrash" were simply too difficult to sit through--the riffing would have to be incredible beyond description for me to really enjoy these eps. But that's just me. I notice that many other viewers absolutely LOVE these episodes, so there you are. Just my opinion, but I found the overall quality of movies featured in season 11 to be much higher than what was featured on the old show, with only Carnival Magic sinking to the dregs for me.

I find the weirder and more inept a movie is the more I tend to like the episode. A few of my top faves from the original show are Monster A-Go-Go, Skydivers, Fu Manchu, and of course Manos. . .all of which only technically qualify as movies. That said, I actually didn't think Carnival Magic was that great of an S11 episode, but Cry Wilderness is almost universally considered one of the best eps of that season and it was arguably the 2nd most craptacular flick of the bunch, after Carnival. I also loved Wizards (as an episode).

Yeah, I'd hate to defend my stance in a court of law, but I had a terrible time getting through Cry Wilderness. For example, among the Rifftrax movies my favorites include Brainiac, City of the Dead, Neutron, and Mesa of Lost Women. Now, don't expect me to explain why--I mean, those are all hideously crappy movies. But when it comes to Guy From Harlem, I love the premise, I anticipate delightful cheesiness, but it's SO bad I find it almost painful. Still, I watched it and laughed.
I dunno. Clearly I'm finding this hard to explain. My favorites from Season 11 were Reptilicus, Beast of Hollow Mountain, and Land that Time Forgot.
