FWIW, the Warner Archive DVD of From Hell It Came is 1.85:1 (my library has a copy!), so it'd fit. I assume now that the show's been reestablished, they'll relax the color requirement (did Joel say anything about the films beyond requiring widescreen for HD? can't remember).
As for shorts, their best bet is to probably make a list of theatrical shorts from the 50s/60s with studios that have dealt with Shout before and go from there.

I think the main reason they haven't used shorts is due to the time constraint. All of the films they used this season were long enough to fit the time slot. Another reason I'd like to see them take on some cheapie b&w fare, some of those barely-over-60-minutes flicks would be perfect length for them to include a short.

Maybe they could even do an episode made up only of shorts? Hired! was so long they actually broke it into two parts. Assignment Venezuela was long too.

I would like to see movie list for season 12
Confessions of an opium eater (great movie really) The Transatlantic tunnel (was on Netflix for years) Condor man
War of the robots (Italian star wars knock offs) Star Odyssey Cosmos: war of the planets
A boy and his dog (the book/ film credited as a large inspiration for the fallout game series)
BBC made for TV adaptation of brave New world
Any movies by Charles d Pierce. The town that dreaded sundown, boggy Creek 1
Just for Bela Lugosi 😊 revenge of the vampire or murder by television
Galaxina,
I will update this if I remember any more

If they could do one Godzilla movie I'd want it to be the American version of Godzilla Raids Again. On its own it's a decent but bland cheapie follow-up made quickly to cash in on the success of the original Godzilla, but the US cut does so many inexplicably strange things that it has to be seen to be believed. Godzilla Raids Again would be awesome, but if I had to pick just one Godzilla movie for them to do it would be Godzilla's Revenge. It's easily the worst of the classic Godzilla movies, and one of the weirdest, with Godzilla's son talking to the film's latchkey kid hero. I know it's incredibly unlikely Toho will ever allow another Godzilla film on MST, but I've wanted to see Godzilla's Revenge on MST for as long as I've been a fan. Another Toho production I'd love to see is Frankenstein Conquers The World. Frankenstein's monster growing gigantic and fighting a burrowing dinosaur? Yes please!

Ah, the thread I knew would eventually show up and turn this lurker into a poster.
There's still so much out there that, even if they aren't the "worst of the worst" would play well in the MST format. Before the Shout/Netflix deal, I was always hoping for some sort of partnership with Something Weird, as they have so many titles that I would love to see get the treatment:
The Godmonster of Indian Flats would be my top choice. Horribly mutated sheep monster aimlessly wandering the hillside while a small town involves itself in awkward racial tensions? Sign me up. Or another film from their library, Sting of Death. It's sort of like Blood Waters of Dr. Z but with a jellyfish-man instead of catfish, and set in a more EEgah type surrounding. Another of their's I'd love to get MSTied is The Mighty Gorga - a Kong knockoff where they couldn't afford the bottom half of a gorilla costume and the ape fights a plastic dinosaur.
The suggestion earlier of Horror At 37,000 is a great one; there's a mass of those '70s made-for-tv films worthy. My own choice would be Dan Curtis' Curse of the Black Widow.
The Milpitas Monster (on DVD as "The Mutant Beast") would be a great one too. No-budget 80s creature feature made by a small town's high school, it's one of my evergreen hopefuls.
I tend to veer toward the monster-y stuff so I could go on forever with those types of requests (Octaman, Attack of the Beast Creatures, Island Claws, Swamp of the Lost Monster, etc., etc.)

Provided if and when it gets picked up for another season, and if it has the same amount of episodes....here is my MST3K season 12 Wishlist!
The People that Time Forgot (1977) - Only fair that this should be included The Navy vs. the Night Monsters (1966) Alienator (1990) Eliminators (1986) Trog (1970) Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991) Beastmaster 3: The Eye of Braxus (1996) Tentacles (1977) Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) The Beach Girls and the Monster (1965) Journey to the Center of the Earth (1988) Hercules in New York (1970) The Crater Lake Monster (1977) The Giant Claw (1957)

Shout just announced on Facebook that they'll be releasing the two Lou Ferrigno Hercules movies on blu ray. I'd love to see one of them for season 12.

They did Starcrash many years ago as well. Journey is in fact Alien From L.A. 2. How the hell this got cobbled together with the unfinished Emo Phillips movie I'll never figure out. Beastmaster 3 was made for television, and may not exist in HD, sadly. It and Beastmaster 2 have yet to show up on DVD even.

Ah, the thread I knew would eventually show up and turn this lurker into a poster. Same with OCTAMAN and STING OF DEATH.

If season 12 were also to be a success, then here is my MST3K season 13 wishlist!
Warlords of Atlantis (1978) Monster on the Campus (1958) The Galaxy Invader (1985) Argoman (1967) The Warrior and the Sorceress (1984) 4D Man (1959) A*P*E (1976) Billy the Kid vs. Dracula (1966) Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966) Abraxas, Guardian of the Universe (1990) Invisible Invaders (1959) The Swarm (1978) Mesa of Lost Women (1953) Frankenstein Island (1981)

I want to see more Cannon Group/Golan-Globus productions riffed on to be honest, considering the only one they managed to do during the original run was Alien from L.A. (1988). Since MGM owns the rights to most of their works (and releases titles with Shout! quite regularly), it shouldn't be hard obtaining HD prints of them. Some movies I thought would be perfect fodder were Hercules (1983) and America 3000 (1986), both of which were shown in the Electric Boogaloo documentary.
Really, there's way too many films to list. Films like From Hell it Came, The Giant Claw, Konga, Creature from the Haunted Sea (worst movie monster ever BTW), Trog, Frogs, Night of the Lepus and Empire of the Ants are just a small few of stuff I'd like to see done. I would also say movies like Troll 2 and The Room, but they've been done to death so much that it would just be completely pointless.

I almost forgot... they REALLY need to take on YOR HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE (1983). It's got Reb Brown and dinosaurs in it.. what more could you want? AMERICA 3000 would be a great pick and those Luigi Cozzi HERCULES films are just dying for the MST treatment. I'd also love to see them riff Enzo G. Castellari/Luigi Cozzi's SINBAD OF THE SEVEN SEAS (1989).

Trog is actually topical right now, as they recreated scenes from it for the recent FX series Feud, about Joan Crawford and Bette Davis' stormy relationship.

From what I can dig up though, it seems like Cannon only distributed it. That seems to be during the exact point where they went under and were reduced to producing stuff for video and TV. And I'd love to see Trog on there. Just the premise of it sounds bad (troglodyte found in cave and kept captive). It's a Warner Bros. owned (!) feature, so getting a good print of it from their Archive shouldn't be too difficult. I don't know what sane person would want to hold the rights to that turkey to begin with! On another note, I looked it up and Shout! do appear to have done a Blu-ray release of Hercules (1983), so I have good faith that we'll be seeing it done in a future season. They've also released other Cannon productions like Ninja III, Invasion U.S.A. and of course the Breakin' films, which I'd also love to see done. I can just imagine Jonah and the Bots doing some hilarious breakdance-themed host segments.
