I probably missed the explanation, if there was one, but why are their clothes suddenly all white at the end of the episodes? Not knowing the reason has been bugging me...

They were wearing protective equipment with the white outfits, which leads me to assume they were wearing them to handle the "liquid film containers" at the end. They always came off as some sort of hazmat suit to me.

They get dirty in the massive mud fight that happens offscreen.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but the white suits with the weird slit goggles they wear at the end of the episodes seem to be a reference to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version). They're almost the same (minus some orange stripes) as the ones Wonka et. al. wear when in the "clean room" toward the end of the film wherein Mike Teevee gets his comeuppance. A fitting reference, methinks.
