Worth noting: The script book has Gypsy telling Jonah that the payload contains sandwiches and pop, but at the Chicago show Gypsy said it contained Beer and Malört. Curious if anybody heard different lines at other shows? Beer and Malört would be a very Chicago thing to have, so I wonder if other cities had local food stuffs mentioned? --- Oh cool! The Script Book is on Amazon!

Seriously? I know we all love these guys, but if that's true that kind of sounds like a false advertising and asking for you money back level of disappointment. A heckler interrupted them in DC and they responded. The riffs aren't prerecorded. I thought they were pre-recorded at first too. That's until I noticed that: A) Jonah's shadow accidentally appeared a couple seconds before the door sequence finished. B) Their shadows were darker than the seat shadows on the screen. I went with my Aunt and Uncle to see the Live Show at the Pabst Theater last Saturday. It was lot's of fun.

The Chicago show made the theater effect very obvious. You could see them appearing before the doors ended and it was clear they were standing with the seats projected on the screen. Tom appeared to be behind his seat.

Saw the show last night in Seattle, and had a blast!
I got to ask Joel two questions during the 2 Q&As gives (one was done for the VIPs, and another for the regular show). I got to ask Joel something, I had wondered for many years about if the Wizard of Oz references came from him, since they were common while he was the host, then seemed to disappear mostly during Mike's time as host, and then seem to have returned for the reboot. Joel seemed surprised that I saw that kind of connection, and implied that it may have been just coincidence.
The other question I had asked was if there's a Season 12 if more would be done with Rebecca Hansen's character Cynthia (the clone of Pearl). He didn't really answer (likely because Season 12 isn't a go yet), except stating it depended on Rebecca's availability. I kinda hope they expand her character in Season 12, as I think she's a more interesting sidekick than Max. Although I think Patton Oswald has done a funny job, I feel Max is kind of a one-joke character in that he's just a bumbling guy who feels like always bragging he's the song of TV's Frank. Cynthia, to me, is like Brain Guy, in the sense that she's clearly more intelligent than her boss Kinga, but due to being low on the totem pole she's forced to be subservient, which adds for some comedic interaction.
Something I found odd was Hampton Young (Crow) was present for the actual show (he appeared for the cast roll call at the end), but was not present for the photo op before the show. Hmmmm....
Servo's stand-in Tim Ryder did very good. I thought he sounded a lot like Baron Vaughn (I don't really know if that's a good thing or bad thing though). I almost wonder if they're grooming him up to be some kind of replacement in case Vaughn doesn't return.
The riffing itself was top-notch as always. The "Bill O'Reily" riff got the biggest reaction I think. And, they did something, I didn't think they could do. Topping the "They're telling secrets" riff for the infamous shot of the two lizards ("Text me later?")
I hadn't seen Eegah in several years so I don't fully remember what most of the original riffs were, but I did catch a few jokes that were repeat. For example, they repeated the joke about Eegah finding a dead animal in Roxy's car engine.
I also love that they made more jokes related to the fact that Arch hall Jr. is essentially being bossed around by his father, the director throughout the film. Something that they didn't really do in the original riff of Eegah.
I really wish they had retained the joke about Arch Hall Jr. slicing his hand on the propellers to his father's helicopter, as its taking off. The riff they used in place of it was NOT funny whatsoever (in fact, i'm kinda surprised they weren't booed for it).
Overall, awesome night, and so cool to meet the cast (Jonah is a GIANT by the way, in fact out of all the celebrities I've met, I think he's the tallest. Hell, he appeared to be taller than Christopher Lloyd whom I met back in 2013), and it's always nice watching MST3K with a large group of people, something I rarely get to experience.

Seattle for the win! I kind of heard your question but was in the back! Loved Joel's "I don't respond to shouters, raise your hand."
The basket Gypsy brings in was full of Starbucks and Dick's Deluxe burgers, so clearly the "sandwiches and pop" in the script is a placeholder and they put locally famous foods in at each stop.
I found the best joke to be, when Eegah wanders into the country club dining room, "Imagine how'd they react if a minority walked in!" *HOWLS OF LAUGHTER* "IT'S TRUE!" Also liked the texting lizards!
The live show really injected an energy and flow to the show that I hope carries into Season Twelve. Also crossing my fingers they can sell a live version of it like Rifftrax does!
"The new print was great; I really could see all the browns...and beiges..."

Will be going to the live show soon. Question to everyone who has already gone: do you recommend buying any of the merchandise? Looks like it's all pretty pricey. Anything you didn't buy that you now regret not buying? Anything you bought that you now wish you didn't?
Anything else I should know going into the show?

Not sure if you were there for the Q&A for VIPs, but there was a funny moment when Joel was answering questions, and two people came in late, sat down and Joel acted annoyed by it. He walked up to where they were sitting, leaned on the chair in front of them, glared at them and said, 'I'm so glad you could make it to the show...' Haha. Funny, scary Joel. While in line for the photo op, I couldn't help but peak behind the theater screen, and it was intriguing seeing the robot puppets just laying there on tables. Will be going to the live show soon. Question to everyone who has already gone: do you recommend buying any of the merchandise? Looks like it's all pretty pricey. Anything you didn't buy that you now regret not buying? Anything you bought that you now wish you didn't? Anything else I should know going into the show? I didn't buy any merchandise, although I would have loved to have bought the script book they were selling, so I could go back and read it and find out about any riffs I may have missed.

Does anyone know if there's plans to sell copies of the live show? I'd sure love to own one!

Joel has said there are no plans for it, but they have been recording some. I'm betting they don't want to announce it until the tour is over so it doesn't hurt ticket sales.

The wife and I are all set for Eegah tomorrow night. It sounds like it will be good, and I truly am looking forward to it...but man I hate going out in public.

So on the MST3K facebook page, a link to an interview of Joel by a Green Bay WI newspaper Joel Hodgson riffs on 'MST3K' and its Green Bay rootsTowards the end of the article (which is actually quite indepth and has some good tidbits about MST Origins, stuff I have never heard) is this: So as I read it, Netflix has till the end of the month to decide, and they are moving forward as if Season 12 is happening. Mind you, in my personal life i have had times where i have had plan/act as if something is going to happen and then it doesn't, so I get it. But I find the news a bit exciting, and tense

Good news from someone on Reddit who was at last night's show: "Joel said during the opening Q&A that he's trying to get a DVD/Digital Release of one of the shows released to the public."
