Just got charged by Shout, so I assume the copies are shipping within the next week! It's going to be sad getting the last volume, though season 11 and the rereleases of volumes 7-12 are on the way (I never got volume 9, so after that my collection will be truly complete).

I'm still hoping that there will be a volume 40, released for the 30th anniversary, that collects the ones that have been released as singles only. Another volume release could also open up space in case they are able to unexpectedly secure rights to a stray single film...

Anyone catch the interview with Jim Mallon in the bonus features for Diabolik? He said the AMC wanted to renew MST3K in 1999, but none of the actors/writers wanted to do it. Is that accurate? I was always under the impression that no networks made an offer.

Only The Amazing Transparent Man showed up on Amazon Video today, suggesting that of the three eps in Vol. 39, Shout could only secure streaming rights to that one.

I was always under the impression that no networks made an offer. I would definitely want to hear the performers' side of this. I remember the AMC rumor, but when was that offer made? After the sets were struck and Mallon sold off everything like a glorified garage sale? After everyone else had been forced to move on and start new enterprises? Were the terms of the deal the same? Etc.

Shout Factory is having a Turkey Day sale, and Volume 39 with the bonus DVD comes to $49.97 plus $5.99 shipping (shipping is free if your order is over $50). I think that’s the lowest it’s been (if you want the bonus DVD at least).
