You know what would be amazing? If that "Stop" sign was the exact same one from back when the movie was filmed.

I don't mind if you want to expand the scope of this project so if you want to do that go ahead.

I'm considering doing a "then and now" series for Rifftrax films and shorts as well as MST3K. Any thoughts?
How about the Cinematic Titanic movies (the ones shot in the U.S., anyway)?

I guess those photos answer Tom's (I think) question... “How solid is a sky-diving based economy?”.

Nick attempts to steal a car from Mike's Country Store as seen in the 1994 film Time Chasers (aka Tangents, episode 821), and the store as it appears today in Clarendon VT. Bonus "Then and Now" - the cast of Time Chasers with director David Giancola. I knew this location would be on Route 7 in Vermont. The most amusing thing to me is that there's another country store about 45 miles north of this one, in Ferrisburgh Vermont, that looks exactly like it. In fact, I would have been convinced that the Ferrisburgh store was the actual location if the surrounding land wasn't so obviously not the location.

MST3K Location 27: Gamera vs Zigra MST3K Location 27: Gamera vs Zigra 1 by Loran Alan Davis, on Flickr The entrance to the Kamogawa Sea World Complex as seen in the 1971 film Gamera vs. Zigra (episodes 07 and 316), and as it appears today in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
Whoa! Did you take that?! If so, do you have any other Gamera pictures?

It's pretty amazing just how much you can accomplish on a project like this with Google Streetview/Earth. Impressive stuff, loran1958!

If you're doing requests do you think you can find the Pullman from Outlaw of Gor?

Very cool! I had wondered if that was a real structure or something left over from another sword and sandal epic. It seemed a little too good to have been built for this particular Herc. Pretty clever set dressing covering up the lamp post too. Some of those bushes look like they haven't changed at all. How long does shrubbery live anyway?

The hospital on Roosevelt Island is fairly popular among urban explorers. You can find quite a few photos online of the place from people who like to wander around abandoned locations. Crazy it was featured in a MST3K movie.

Keep up the good work! It's a great topic to put into a board that was getting a little quiet.

Actually Space:1999 was mostly filmed at Pinewood, Bray was just where they housed the model FX department.

As someone who supports gun rights, I'm sad to see it's gone. Oh well.

For some reason I find the idea of a gun shop being replaced by a mattress store rather amusing.

Very cool. Such an odd looking "modern" house though... I'd live there.
