Let us hope Toho never finds out the Godzilla roar got used in the English dub of the first Hercules film!

I actually even wonder if Toho knows of the small Megalon clip used in later Joel eps?

I think that brief clip of GvM in the credits qualifies as Fair Use.

It does and should, though sometimes I question if Toho even follows the fair use law.

Well, my friend checked the off air copy I gave them. No missing riff or Godzilla sound. I'm really confused now.

The mystery deepens. This version on Club MST3K... www.club-mst3k.com/episodes/302-gamerahas the riff and you can hear growling and roars on Gamera Mike's phone call. Although it's not the actual Godzilla sound. As this recording has the fan despised Comedy Central "bug" appearing onscreen during the show, that would make it an earlier recording than mine? Circumstantial evidence suggests a change made during the CC era for some unknown reason. This lets Shout off the hook. What do you think, sirs?

I actually have an earlier recording where just the yellow "Comedy Central" logo appears in the lower left hand corner in the theater when entering/coming back from commercial sign, and it still has the sound effects in tact. I think it's possible Comedy Central put those in and that version is a raw cut? Take it with a grain of salt.

Crawling Eye has similar issues. TV cut has music in the opening Mads seg, dvd from Shout does not

I've recently heard that 507 "I Accuse My Parents" is missing a riff, probably from a similar issue.

Crawling Eye has similar issues. TV cut has music in the opening Mads seg, dvd from Shout does not I was always under the impression that was raw footage and Comedy Central put that in their copy. Take my assumption with a grain of salt.
