Has anyone ever noticed this?

So, a couple days ago I was watching my Tom Servo's all-time favorite host segments tape since it's been awhile, and I noticed at the end when it got to the fuzz..... There was actually a bit of a portion of the segment in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians when Joel and the bots read their essays.

I found that very odd. Is it like this on every copy or just mine?

It's possible they "burned in" the tapes before recording the actual program to them, using whatever video source was handy. I used to do that all time with brand new tapes to knock loose anything that could cause potential dropouts. A trick I learned from slaving at a college tv station.

Or the duplication master for TSATFHS was recorded over a duplicate copy of SCCTM? Maybe even the "raw" tape used to shoot the host segments.
