Well, the time has come. By the end of the day my new blog will start posting reviews of Incognito Cinema Warriors XP. I've been in something of a push for more content lately, so I've been trying to get reviews out there in my Rifftrax and "beyond" sections. One of which I've created for ICWXP. Years ago in an episode order from Skyroniter he had included a little bonus that I hadn't anticipated and included a copy of ICWXP's first episode, Bride of the Gorilla, in his attempt to spread the word on these guys. I don't think I ever thanked him properly for that, because I didn't realized it was there until I made my way through the episodes I had purchsed and I stumbled on it in a "what's this?" fashion. I remember watching it, but not really getting into it, and getting back to MST.
I thought long and hard about whether or not I wanted to include it, since my initial thoughts on my website were to include projects created by the MST gang, but the small success of ICWXP in the riffing fanbase was hard to ignore. My final conclusion was if I could include the complete cast re-haul of MST in season eleven, then I had no good reason to ignore ICWXP. Plus it will be an interesting experience to see some outsiders pop up every now and again. If all goes well I might even create a space for their video game riffs too, but that still remains undecided.
So I will be rewatching epiosde one and will be watching all of ICWXP's shows in release order and we'll see what comes of it. I hope you all will join me as I venture into this small riffing territory. Stay tuned!
