I Like to Like With the click of a button, I do! I Like to Like It's getting worse every... uh... shoe...?
I like to... this is dumb I can't write songs very well Here, lemme get down and just...
...
Hang on... there... So, we've had the ability to like posts on the forum for a good while now... like, so long that it's, frankly, weird for me to talk about them like they're some kind of novelty... but honestly? I wonder if I use it too much. It's hard, though; I read people's posts and say "Hey, yeah, you're right! There *aren't* a lot of MST3K scenes discussing the differences between pies! Well spotted, fellow MSTie!" And, well, I like that kind of observation. What am I supposed to do, not say I like it? Having said that, I can see people reserving the Like button for their favorite threads or posts. You know, the stuff that legitimately changes your life and how you see the world. ...that seems stronger than liking though. So basically, I'm curious: how often do you Like things? And feel free to open that up to other websites, too: YouTube videos, Twitter posts, stuff on Tumblr, or even the random people on the street that make you stop, walk over to them, and give them a firm thumbs up before you move on, wordlessly, not translating your virtual habit for the real world. *Tappa tappa tappa*

Do you see that I Liked your post? Huh, do you? (I noticed your edit). Um, yeah, I can see how this feature is overused. I don't have a Twitter account or a Facebook account, but my mom hits the Like button for, like, EVERYTHING. It kind of takes away from the "specialness" of actually liking something. It's just another shortcut for actually communicating with one another, as a lot of things on the internet can do. "Well, gee, I liked what so-and-so said, but, I'm not gonna actually, like, TYPE any profound observations out, I'll just...hit that damn button. That should convey every nuance I want to express. Yeah." I do use it a lot, but I don't believe I OVER use it. I could be wrong. Like if you agree. I'll feel like somebody if people validate me.

I hate all of you. Why would I press a button to prove otherwise?
