This is probably going to sound weird, but I've kind of developed a taste for bad movies because of MST3K. Has anyone else had this happen?

Oh yeah, I'm sure it's not uncommon.
It helps that MST3K assists you in how to cope with them, and how to properly make fun of them.

Personally if I didn't love them in the first place I probably wouldn't have been a fan of the show. Pretty much 80% of the reason I started my blog was so I could have a record of my reactions to these movies.

Personally if I didn't love them in the first place I probably wouldn't have been a fan of the show... Yeah I really couldn't imagine a person liking the show who doesn't have some interest in watching the movies. As a kid I always loved watching the Godzilla and other old creature feature films and that went a long way toward helping me get into MST3K. From there, through the show, it was easy to develop some kind of appreciation for the other bad movies which weren't necessarily of creature feature stock. If nothing else they offer glimpses of the times in which they were made/released. Teenagers From Outer Space, Rocketship XM, Daddy-O, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Standed in Space, Catalina Caper, Riding with Death, Eegah! and on and on and on. They're ~60 minute time capsules and they're fascinating.
