I got a kick out of the Monkees television show. Silly, but pleasant. He seemed like a nice guy.
Rest well, sir.

This is so sad. I love The Monkees. Peter was always such a goof. I have the entire series on DVD and a collection of their songs on CD. I notice Josh and Frank left tweets expressing their feelings on his passing. Just Papa Nez and Mickey left.

Sad to hear about Peter Tork, but I think Davey Jones' death a while back was an even bigger shock. In my mind Jones was eternally young. Well, obviously not, as it turned out. 🤔
Anyway, RIP to Jones and Tork from a die hard Monkees fan. I'm still a believer.

i went and saw them in (1998) this is gonna be a long one just thought i'd warn ya. it was me, my brother and my now sister-in-law and before the show i'm from Ohio so the show was in Cleveland and before the show Mickey was showing some Lithographs he had made at the art museum i think it was? we get there and we are behind a limo and we weren't thinking much of it really but we were guessing who it was and we were right it was Mickey when he got out he saw us and Waved to us and he's a tall motherflapjackser on the show i always thought he was a bit short, not short like Davy at all but shorter, apparently i was wrong we go in i have him sign my headquarters booklet, and than we get our pictures with him.
fast forward to the show and it was fun as hell as you can imagine what really shocked me was Mickey did the song Oh My My a song i really love and is easily one of the best songs on the album Changes. yes that one is their weakest album but i still enjoy it for what it is, anyways, after the show we go in the back to wait for the guys and we weren't alone, i'm standing outside the long just on the sidewalk right in front of an RV. minding own business well 1st i hear Davey or does he have no E i forget.
well he comes out cause i hear screaming and i figure screw it i'm never going to see him cause of his height and the people surrounding him, than i hear what i think is my sister-in-law yell Peter i turn and standing right next to me like 5 feet or so is Peter Tork and the look on his face was oh poopie , i'm standing on the side walk and no one is by me and i reach out to him to sign my headquarters booklet and he runs into the RV. man was i mad but what are ya gonna do ya know? be a prick and bang on the door that's not going to get him to come out that will just annoy him that's all.
but i was that close to the man you can't forget that ya know? what's funny is that Davey really ended up looking like a Jockey and he did end up becoming one too i think? Peter ended up looking more so like a Professor and i think he did end up one of sorts. not sure about the rest though. Papa Nez in recent years went bald unless he wore a piece for years and just said screw it and stopped wearing it. i dunno.
in (1997) my brother went and saw them with him and my Sister-in-law i wasn't invited to that one and i guess Peter also had that same RV that he ran too i remember him telling me. i dunno why i didn't put 2 and 2 together? but there's my story sorry about the length
