I meant to post this before but life has been, well life. My lungs have been aching for air! So I finally got all the menu ensembles on my blogger done (for the box sets that I do already own) and even have number 13 up because those were available on youtube and 13 is where it really starts as far as the animated work of Dave Long is concerned. And the box sets I don't have, I can look to youtube to provide the content I would have in my possession but, alas, will have to order the previous sets over a course of time. Some of the sets are 20 - 30 dollars and I'd want to order at least 2 sets at a time. Until I have them all. So for now, my blog is complete for what I have and the stuff that youtube offers (blogger allows one to use past dates so I can keep things organized by set numbers rather than what I can post at a time) and although set 13 is placed in dates that seem past they are recent, but all the recent stuff through August and September is when I got the last sets and individual releases of Manos & This Island Earth posted. And here are the past topics I have here regarding all of this stuff! Topic 1 and Topic 2. I'm really proud of this work. Years to do. It all began around the summer of 2015 and a year later I changed my movie blogger to include the mst3k menus, starting with Robot Holocaust. It's been a long way. I hope fans really get a kick out of what I've done!

What it was is that at first, when I started collecting these boxed sets, I knew the dvd menus were created out of the existing episodes and riffs in them so I had the idea of doing this even as far back as 2012. But I knew it would be a daunting task. Since there are so many. Then one day, after searching the internet for any sign of someone else having this info available and failing to find anything of the sort...I just decided, well, I might as well contribute my time to this and get it out there.
Plus it offered me the many, many hours to watch (or rather hear) episodes more than once. Sometimes more than a dozen times. I get distracted, you see. And now I have MST3K firmly attached to my memory bank. Maybe too much? Maybe overdrawn?

Thanks Nectarsis. That blog was a lot of work and there's lots of stuff there. When I first put it up, it was just for movie reviews and clips of scenes from movies. I riffed the movies I reviewed and saved all of the posts of them I used to do on my yahoogroup: CosmicKeep2525. I would do these reviews and saved them and eventually created a blog to put them all up since yahoo went to poopie. Even if it didn't, I would have still made the blog.
When I started obtaining the boxed sets of MST3K from Shout Factory and saw how the animated menus were done, I was fascinated as I'd never seen any show do that with their DVD menus. I looked online to see if there was anyone who had documented the menus and alas, there was none. So after putting it off, I decided that, well, I do have a blog about movies, I'm riffing them in review form, why not add in the MST3K Menus to the title and start putting these up?
So I did. And I know there are fans of the show that really like the blog. Sampo over at Satellite News likes it and even posted about it over there. So that's the one blog of my collection of blogs that gets the most traffic thanks to Sampo. He's really a very nice guy and he's a tireless booster of the show. A big fan like us.
There are some boxed sets I do not have yet, but when I can obtain them, there will be time slots I will be able to add the rest of the menus that aren't up there yet.
