Twitter informed me today that the MST3K Twitch channel's kicking off a 24-hour broadcast schedule which will lead up to Turkey Day with over a week's worth of classic MST3K episodes in chronological order. So if you've got a Twitch-capable browser and a week's worth of time, get on over there! Turkey Stream On TwitchFor those like me with bad WiFi and a Roku that only lets Twitch work sporadically, enjoy letting it stream on your laptop at work.

Season 0 is skipped of course (really hope they straighten up and actually show them someday), but I'm glad that they're being shown in chronological order. It exposes more people to the earlier episodes, which I really think are worth checking out. Mad Monster is playing right now, which is not one of my favorites. However, it's definitely not unwatchable like so many people seem to believe and actually has some pretty good moments.

Season one has always been my favorite season. I've watched them the most of all.

I like Season 1 in short doses. I think my general "vibe" for MST3K style preference is either season 4-5, or possibly season 8-9. 1 is nice when I watch it, but it can wear me down.
Having said that, it's hard to say no to some of those episodes...

They're so low energy in the early eps.

I like low energy, laid back humor. Frantic humor annoys and bores me.

That's the first time I've seen someone call season 1 their favorite season. Out of the three seasons that I've watched in full, season 11 is my favorite with season 1 right behind. It's not the greatest season or anything, but you kinda have to love it for being the first national season and for being so charming. And I do believe that season 1 has a few really good episodes.

Weird. I just clicked on Twitch for a while and Last of the Wild Horses was on. When it stopped for a moment and said something like, "we'll be right back" it switched to The Girl in Lover's Lane. I was like, wait, wasn't I just watching LotWH? I switched over to the Rifftrax channel to see what was playing, then when I switched back, it was Last of the Wild Horses again. I think I switched over to another dimension like M&TB's.

During the breaks, the channel shows extended clips from other episodes. It is indeed confusing at first. When I peeked last night they were on ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE, so you catching WILD HORSES seven hours ago checks out. They are running through all their cleared episodes in chronological order and are on Season 6 right now.

Strangely, there's a group of episodes that Twitch used to show during the first two rotations that they no longer do. The rights haven't expired on these (they're still on Shout's website and Tubi and such), they just skip them now every single time they reach their location in the episode order. As I spend way too much time on the Twitch chat, here's the current skip list, for anyone that cares:
Sidehackers Master Ninja II Giant Gila Monster Hercules Against the Moon Men The Rebel Set Beginning of the End (actually never shown on Twitch, but part of the streaming package) The Phantom Planet (aired only once, during the second rotation) Pumaman (only aired during the first rotation)
Of the 10 Rifftrax Shout has the rights to, they mainly show three: "Breaker! Breaker!", "Jack the Giant Killer", and "Hillbillys in a Haunted House". They've finally begun running "Icebreaker" and "Prisoners of the Lost Universe" recently, but the other 5 have yet to appear. They just run those main three, repeatedly, despite how Rifftrax already has their own (much more popular) channel (there was even a time when "Hillbillys in a Haunted House" aired on BOTH channels at the same time, making the redundancies even more obvious).
All of the Cinematic Titanics run, except for one: "War of the Insects".

Hey thanks for being a twitch mst3k nerd like me! Phantom Planet just played in this last jumbled cycle, but MovieVox didn’t believe us when we told it

It did? Darn, I missed it!
Yeah, LeftFourDave, who runs Movievox, seems to have abandoned the bot for the most part. He used to check in once in a while to make sure it was running smoothly and add new quotes, but I haven't seen him since around Christmas at least. He never did add Phantom Planet to the schedule feature.
(Btw: this is Sir_STACK)
