lol "ooo right in the Kabals"
wow what an unbalanced movie, everything pretty much happens in the second half and it pretty much makes up for it. I was falling asleep an hour ago and now im up and laughing.

Oh no, her hat went above the green screen.
Pretty weak episode, really. Thin riffing until the last quarter of the movie. Host Segements were ok, but host segments don't carry an episode.
Probably the 2nd worst episode of the season, but definitely ahead of Robot Wars. But not BAD, bad. Just...mediocre.

If I had to give an immediate rating...
C+? Bad choice of a movie, really. But again, a REALLY slow start (and middle, and almost to the end) to the riffing.

Another good episode! Really happy with this season so far. I’d love it if they were prepping for another season right now so they don’t lose this momentum.

I was absolutely about to say bad choice of a movie but i guess they thought it was worth it for all that material in the third act.

They've gotta do SOMETHING about these credits next season. There's no reason credits for a TV show need to go on for 6+ minutes. I wanna see the stinger, damnit!

Who's doing the voices for Joel's bots?

it sounds like Baron and Hampton in the preview.
By the time I finish sitting through that long-winded SNL-farewell sax theme of 'clowns in the sky' that has to fill out those ridiculously long credits, my desire to see the stinger has almost been completely sucked out of me.

I thought it turned out OK. And the post-show Q&A, featuring the screenwriter, was very good. After hearing his explanation, I quickly went onto TVTropes and corrected the entry re: the "Doctor Strange" myth.

A few minutes in, there is an awful riff about Brazil that doesn't even make sense, really, and feels more like an excuse to reference Terry Gilliam's film of the same name. I mean, it's a very, very bad, forced riff. The Brazil ref is thrown out because they are in Rio de Janeiro. Its not nearly as bad as the "What's in the box?". Incidentally on RLM just recently, Mike (or Jay) made the comment how the "What's in the box?" joke is the most irritating reference ever. More so, because you can tell when someone is about to make it. Yeah, I get that they’re in Rio and Rio is in Brazil, but we’ve had seconds of screen time showing generic landscape that could be almost anywhere in the world and the joke is like “this is a less realistic depiction of Brazil than Gilliam’s movie” the joke had no legs and made no sense. The joke that murdered me near the end, though, was “It’s the Communist maniphestone.”

interesting that you enjoyed the movie itself so much.. all the other comments here seem to be saying it was a bad choice and boring. I'm in between houses and haven't seen munchie or this one yet... likely won't get to watch any episode until sept. So just been soaking up the reactions.
