They (sort of) added in some new stretch goals. If the campaign hits 7,750 backers, at $35 and above everyone gets the Nick Nolte ebook (it's $75 and above now) and at 8,250 backers, everyone at $35 and above gets the Golden Coral video (currently at $75 and above).

I am very surprised. I knew it would do well (it always does), but I was impressed at the great response. I just wish a "Five Doctors" JTJ release had been one of the stretch goals.

I'll have to miss tonight's show. I'm home fighting off a summer cold. I'll have to wait for the home release. This'll make only the second time I've missed an RT Live show; the first was "The Room", when there was a mix-up over the theater.
And this time I put up enough to get my name on-screen at the end. CRUD!!

CRUD!!I've kind of been the opposite. Went to several early shows, missed some of the ones not released to DVD later, then missed several over the past few years due to pandemic stuff or family commitments. FINALLY was able to see the latest so I went to Rad. I went blindly, so I really didn't watch the trailer or read what the movie was about. I backed the Kickstarter, as I do every year, and pre-ordered the blu-ray. I arrived late due to a train crossing, so I missed the intro and the first half of the first Gumby short. Gumby shorts were great, the Rad movie itself was excellent. Aside from great riffs, the movie is just so silly. Bill Allen being in the audience was special, and added another level to the riffs since the guys could make mention to him while he watched. The Lori Loughlin jokes about college were, as the guys said, a true gift. The jokes wrote themselves as soon as her character started talking about going to college. The Mayor got a lot of laughs from my audience because he just had these big eyes and weird teeth and kept looking around during scenes in which he had no dialogue. He looked like a weird bug creature, what a goofy actor. The closing Rifftones music was great, and thanks to the KS backers padding it out we got the Space Mutiny and Samurai Cop songs as well. Oh, and BMX tricks get so old so fast. Hopping on one tire is cool once and that's it. Overall, a 9/10 Rifftax Live! Just sad it's the only one this year. Hoping 2024 sees two shows, especially for Halloween or Christmas.
