Careful, there. I'm an intelligent, compassionate person and I voted (and will vote) for Bush, and I'd guess I'm not the only one on these boards in that category.
Nonetheless, I fail to see how any of this matters. Mike, Paul, Joel, Kevin, etc. worked pretty frickin' hard to make a funny show, and certainly mixed in their own opinions. And I'm sure the actors spoke lines written by other writers who may have had different views than they did. Just because Mike said it, it may have been Mary Jo's line. But if it was funny, it made the show.
And regardless of my views, that's why I like the show. Because it's funny.

I just am happy he didn't let the show get overwhelmed with political jokes, from the left or right side, him being head writer and all. . TOTALLY agree!

Cant some one email him or something and ask? Or e-mail some one. Im curious on his true political standings.. if he'll share it. Would it change my mind on the show if he were a right wing nut? nah.
...but i think he was talking about lifestyle rather than political views. He is an average joe after all.

Is there something wrong with that?
"Conservative" is really a nondescript term. Means nothing. There's many ways you can be what is considered "conservative": economically, politically, socially, religously, etc. Ask any politician: he/she will be something different in every city!
Plus, much of what we call "conservative" is "classical liberalism" anyway.

Hee Hee This thread is very amusing. I find it humerous how some of you "Pie-eyed" Libs react to the thought of Mike Nelson being a conservative. I hope that he is, just so I can hear you people be-moan the fact. I also hope that he votes for Bush! That would be icing on the cake! ;D BTW, this is my first post to these forums, so hello to all Liberals and Conservatives alike. The one thing that I think we all can agree on is that MST3K is a fantastic show!
