Riffs can be easy to do. I find a better laugh when they come across with a great skit then most riffs. I would have to say the best skits I have seen are these two: Pod People: "Wow, you really are magic Trumpie !" When they "Reinact" Trummpie's magic. Thats where I laughed the hardest seening everything fly acorss seeming like a fevered acid trip... not that I know what acid trips are... Come in a close second is the first skit on one of my all time faves "The Violent Years." Where Tom gets a new head (Looked kinda like Big Boy) and freaks everyone out (good crow reaction) and then it goes into the very memerable theme songs segment. "Better than you." -Tom "La la la Laa la la... Crow..." "Mike Mi-mi-mike mi-mi-mi-mike mike mike." ...But then there was Frank's dedication at the end of "The Village of Giants". "Let me be Frank about Frank." "...When the sun and the moon collide to be Frank" Good times.

All excellent choices!
Some of my favorite skits: "It stinks!" from "Pod People": Joel and the bots' version of "Burning Rubber Tires" or whatever the heck that awful song was. "He's the best!!!"
"Mystos" - from "Teenage Crimewave": "Youth is better, old is stupid."
"Are you happy in your work?" - from "I Accuse My Parents." The look on Joel's face when he plays each different onlooker....hilarious. Gypsy: "Wha happah?"
"The Fugitive Alien Medley" - Star Force: Fugitive Alien II: Which part of the medley is best? Wow...that's tough. "Don't try to kill us with a forklift!!!" And Gypsy's song never fails to crack me up mainly because I can't understand half of what she's singing. Joel's brief Rat Pack-esque song is also top notch.
Mike as "The Fonz" - Angel's Revenge: It's so simple, but it cracks me up every time. Think about it how hilariously direct the skit is: Mike does his Fonz impresonation and is then destroyed by Crow and Servo.
Gamera Medley: Gamera vs. Zigra: What can you say about this? It's so delightfully bizarre....
There's so many...but that's a good start.

Are we talking host segments? I love 'HIRED! - Original Broadway Cast' and they out did themselves with the Bergman/Schlitz parody.

I've been a fan of MST3K for years, and I'm almost halfway through completing my VHS collection of all episodes. I just found this forum and joined today (and the crowd goes wild, yeah!)
I guess my favs are a tribute to pants from "Hercules Against the Moon Men" and the hike up your pants song from "Daddy-O" hmmm, maybe i got a thing for pants? ;D

If we're talking host segments, then let me be the first to mention (in this thread, anyway)-
The Murder Mystery Sketch.
That is all.

Crow's documentary on Women in Hobgoblins.
Every time I see that thing I pee my pant, just thinking of it now. Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha... Uh. Oh damn it, I've gone and soiled myself again!

My top 5 votes in addition to the great moments others have already listed:
Joel's explanation of the 60's in Catalina Caper...
The great "We're a Danger to Ourselves and Others" song from Attack of the Giant Leaches...
The bit where Mike and Jim play two Great White Hunters appearing on the hexfield in Jungle Goddess...
The invention exchange where Frank introduces his invention: Lederhosen-hosen. When he cries out "I just wanted to be Bavarian for one brief shining moment...is that so wrong??" makes me nearly wet my pants laughing every time!
The satiric "Ode to Canada" song in Final Sacrifice. There's something indescribably funny when Servo breaks down, sobbing "I have no sense of proportion!"

My favorites -
swing choir contest - love their outfits! It was a total flash back to those forced attendance Pep Rallies at my highschool!
The dinner after a Date With Your Family! I just finished watching that one this morning! Hilarious!
And I will always love "Are You Happy In Your Work!" That one kills me - Joel with the bad mustaches, and you can see them sneaking around behind the scenery

I love the skit in The Starfighters where Servo becomes the fuel receptacle and Crow is the fuel probe. The way Servo reacts when Crow "inserts" is so funny. Another good one from that episode is the "The United Servo Academy Men's Chorus". Kevin Murphy did an awesome job with that one.

Joel's explanation of the 60's in Catalina Caper... That was, by far, the best part of that episode. Amazing.
