(im kicking myself for not taping the SCI-FI episodes when they were on) I can totally relate. I saw the Sci-Fi eps when I was a little kid, so the thought of someday re-watching them never came.

Hmm well I started viewing MST3K during the Sci-Fi years and the whole concept of the show just threw me for a loop, I watched pretty regularly up until the 8th season when life got difficult. The only episode I have right now due to my financial state is the beginnings of the end, which Mighty Jack was so nice to give me. My top 3 titles I can think of having would be MST3K the movie, Jack Frost (Damn that film is goofy) and perhaps Santa Claus. That's it ;D

My first episode was The Incredible Melting Man, but I don't remember what year it was when I saw it (I guess 1996, while MST was still allowed to show that one).
My collection now consists of 95 episodes; 43 Scifi and 52 CC (including Rhino) as well as all 5 available shorts tapes, the scrapbook, and the movie.
There are certainly other, more deserving fans out there, but I'll throw my name in just for the hell of it.

I have been a devoted fan since I was six years old and spent many saturday mornings watching MST3k instead of cartoons. I had seen most of Season 2 episodes, but about half-way through Season 3, our cable company dropped Comedy Central. And we never had the SciFi channel to begin with, so we didn't get to see the later episodes. I have like 20 or so late season 2 and early season 3 episodes that my aunt taped for me; and the tapes are unbelievably worn out. I also have a couple of the dvd volumes that were released. But what I really want is to watch those old Sandy Frank movie-episodes that can never be released by Rhino.
That's my sob story

Not counting the Movie, the only MST3K item released here in Australia, the first episode I actually saw was Hercules verus the Moon Men chosen at random back in 2001 Non-American + Dial-up = Not that much To date 12 downloaded episodes, all six Rhino DVD collections and the Essentials (the bonus disc version thanks to friends in North America). My MST3K journey begins one late night in 1995. Someone told me about a laughably bad TV show called GERRY ANDERSON'S SPACE PRECINCT and I decided to stay up and watch it. But before that came on, some wacky show with puppets that featured a bad movie called POD PEOPLE popped up. I had the sense to tape this mad concoction and showed it to my family the next day.
Here's my problem. I've been a fan for a while, but I don't have any episodes! My dad has what shows we've taped at my old house, but now that I'm married and many hours away, I have a lot of difficulty seeing eps! Please help this poor soul get some fresh MST into his system!

How old could you be now? (sigh) sadly I was in college and missed most of the sci fi years due to lack of cable. I saw Return of the Creature and thought MST had jumped the shark. Later I proved myself dead wrong. I started watching seriously around the time Mike took over for Joel. Before that I had Manos and Santa vs. the Martians to stare at confusedly. As of now my ep # is somewhere around 70, which actually puts me in this race compared to some of you. This contest has partly become a pissing contest for the mid-level mistie. neat

Well, I first saw Godzilla Vs. Megalon as a repeat, and I was delighted (as it was one of my first videos I ever owned as a kid), but my first real episode was The Indestructible Man. I have most of the Rhino releases, but that's it. Most of my videotape collection was stolen when my storage unit was broken into. Very rough! I lost all of my classic stuff, which wasn't much I grant you. I am having some luck bringing in new fans here in Springfield, but running out of material! Help me, phantom! And I can pee farther than you, Dr. Ted!

I first saw the show 9 years ago. I've been watching it on and off since then. I have 5 episodes. I should win because um, I want world peace.

As of now my ep # is somewhere around 70, which actually puts me in this race compared to some of you. Well 70 to me is quite a sum. I would say over 30/40 is still a sum but then this show is so good you need hundreds. Anyway my point is you guys with 50 or more eps are not really new to the show. I think phantom's point in this particular contest is to get those without much. But that shouldn't stop you from trying I guess, I just wouldn't is all. But I just wanted to tell you new guys that if you want to you can still get non commercial eps quite easily. There are many traders in our Torgo's Trades board and if you have nothing to trade, people like skyroniter and others sell DVDs for a reasonable amount. And check out the DAP sticky in Torgo's Trades. It tells you how you can download non commercial episodes for free. You'll need high speed internet I think, for that though.

See, that's exactly why I said phantom shouldn't give any to me as there are others who need much more than me. As to the DAP, high speed is preferable, but dialup will work if you have the time and patience.

Oh ok, so I guess you can use the DAP with dial up but it's slow as is with high speed. I averaged one or two eps every 10 hours or more.
