episode 1 is great. episode 2 is great. saw both five times in the theater. i don't know why everyone hates the prequels. they aren't up to snuff with the original movies, but hey thats most sequels, err prequels, err you know. darth maul... kicks ass. jango fett...kicks ass. and they are just the appetizers for the original bad ass of the galaxy darth vadar. c'mon, how long has it been since you seen him on the big screen. admit it, you're all gonna be there.....

episode 1 is great. episode 2 is great. saw both five times in the theater. i don't know why everyone hates the prequels. Maybe because they weren't about "Star Wars" so much as "Star Trade Embargos" and "Star Senatorial Maneuvering." And also because Jake Lloyd can't act his way out of a paper bag. And also because Lucas can't write dialogue to save his life. And also because no one directs wooden performances like Lucas. So there are some reasons. And I didn't even mention Jar-Jar. And yes, I'm excited to go see Ep. 3. I'm such a pawn.

Star Wars is a disappointment. I would rather watch Carrot Top.

I love Star Wars more than almost anything, and I hated Episode I and Episode II in theatres.. but have recently been giving them a chance at redemption. they're failing. miserably.
but I do know that I'll be there to feed George Lucas my hard-earned money next May, first showing of opening day. and if it's awesome, I'll love it. and if Jar-Jar ends up being Sifo-Dyas, I will be so pissed off, but I'll still end up loving the movie. because it's Star Wars.

Its a better title than "attack of the clones" at least. And I will be there on opening night. I hate Jar Jar, ep. 1 is ok. Ep. 2 was much better than 1. As a general action sci-fi family flick I think it is awesome. I think we are just growing too old for it honestly. You have to be a kid again to fully appriecate it and any kid who says otherwise was corrupted by you into not liking it. So there.

I know a lot of kids who really like the first one, and that's fine. But anyone has to admit that the acting, even Ewan MacGregor's dull performances (with the possible exception of Liam Neeson) are simply awful. There were a number of times during Hayden Christensen's "serious" scenes in Ep 2 that I laughed out loud in the theater. And, what's worse, I wasn't the only one. But the effects are fun. The problem is that the first trilogy was cheezy but great. The second one's got a great look to it, but almost none of the charm. And Empire Strikes Back shows that Lucas is capable of making a realy wonderful movie. I just don't know why he hasn't done it again.

Star Wars (original)? American Graffiti? THX-1135 (or what ever, I never saw it)? Star Wars is fun, but not a wonderful movie. When I watch it now, I'm slightly embarrassed. Empire is the only one I actually feel like was well done. And American Graffiti was fine, but not outstanding. THX was...a student film.

Yet another reason Lucas is not my favorite person:
It appears that at least one of the movies from the forthcoming STAR WARS TRILOGY (SWT) DVD set has been leaked to the internet. A ultra high quality divx copy of RETURN OF THE JEDI, featuring new effects and inclusions not seen in any prior released versions of the movie, has been placed online. So far no sightings of the SWT versions of A NEW HOPE or THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK have been reported online.
Several message forums of video and STAR WARS websites have confirmed that Sebastian Shaw has been removed from the "ghost trio" at the end of JEDI and replaced by Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. As well, a scene showing the citizens of Naboo, consisting of both humans and Gungans, celebrating the death of the Emperor has been included in the montage of locations after the destruction of the second Death Star.

The only way I can really truly enjoy this movie is if Jar Jar is horribly and brutally murdered....by his evil sith twin. ;D
Or if he's not in it at all. They should make a movie out of KOTOR, now THAT would be an awsome star wars film, as long as Carth wasn't a whiney bastard in the movie.

I swear, if Lucas puts Hayden Christiansen at the end of Jedi, I will sue him for being a complete idiot.
Yes, it's a crime.
