Okay, I've listened again with the headphones on and Mike does in fact say "Pringles". It's right as the depressed old guy stops and turns around. So instead of being esoteric it's merely a stupid stupid joke because Pringles never went anywhere for someone to have to remember them. It would have made more sense for him to say, "Hey, anyone remember gas station attendants?" or some product that no longer exists than to reference one that not only does still exist but is still popular. Instead it comes across as "Hey, anyone remember Levi's?" So, boo! to Mike and whoever originally wrote the line that would confuse us decades later. Also, apologies to beljah, you were right, I was wrong.

Also, apologies to beljah, you were right, I was wrong. Hey, no prob. Sometimes there's just mindless, throwaway stuff on the show, doesn't happen very often, but sometimes there's filler. I have no idea why Mike, or whoever added the line, thought it fit at that spot or added to the scene, but there it is.

Maybe that was what was confusing.

... AND it's like seeing the wrecked space ship (a tubular can, like a Pringle's can, right?) only reminded him of food, like the death of someone was less important than his appetite.
Like in another episode when someone got roasted and one of the 'bots quipped, "Ribs! That's what I'm hungry for!"
So now, everybody shake hands and make nice.

Was supposed to be big dramatic scene, the way he was "acting" looked more like wondering if someone remembered to pick up his snack food.

in "werewolf," when yuri tells noel to "go take a walk over there," and noel drunkenly slurs, "yeah, i'll take a walk," why does crow say, "over to kirk douglas's house?" the way servo cracks up laughing, i thought it had to have some kind of weight to it. i think i might have gotten the names mixed up. it's been a while since i've seen the movie. i'll have to dig it out!

From the Kirk Douglas Wikipedia entry: "Kirk Douglas (born Issur Danielovitch Demsky December 9, 1916) is an American actor and film producer known for his gravelly voice...". The way "Yeah, I'll take a walk" is delivered, it sounds like how impressionists such as Rich Little or Frank Gorshin would do their "Kirk Douglas".

"No-no-no-no-no-no, don't pass out on me now...!" Oh I'm sure that's a line from a movie but I can't place it! It sounds so familiar. Off the top of my head, that sounds like something the killer from "Dirty Harry" said when he was assaulting Harry at Coit Tower. I'll have a quick look and get back to ya! *edit* Confirmed.
