Wait, Women of the Prehistoric Planet is on Rhino? Why wasn't I aware of this? You're all fired. It's not yet, but it will be soon. It comes out with the volume 9 set.

Oh yeah, I guess I knew that. Nevermind, you're all rehired. Hired! part 3.

I go with "Robot Monster". It feels the most like something out of the later seasons to me - the riffs are strong, the host segments don't stink, and the movie is just so delightfully goofy.

I've always felt the riffing on Robot Monster was disappointingly weak, and that it only gets the love it does because the movie itself is so insanely goofy. They could've done much better, and I'm talking about better from a Season One perspective. The best Season One episode is (imho) The Black Scorpion, where the film itself is cool (great fx), and the riffing really begins to resemble that of the early Season Two shows. It's damn hilarious.

M'eh, I like Robot Monsters Riffing better than Scorpions. It's got nothing to do with the flick. As you'll soon discover, what folks find funny, can not be universally defined.

Yea for this poll--it's a good idea, eliminating the Rhino eps, so the new folk can get an idea of what else is out there worth finding.
I voted "Untamed Youth" because it has lots of stuff I like in it. That makes sense, doesn't it? But I'd also go with Cleo on "Moon Zero Two" which I've only recently acquired. What a strange, strange movie! And fun!

I really like Moon Zero Two. It's not a terrible movie to watch, and the riffing is great.
But I voted for The Crawling Eye because the first time I watched it, I was expecting to really struggle through it. To my surprise, I enjoyed the movie, and really enjoyed the episode. It may not be the best of season 1, but that experience makes me remember it as my favorite.

I'm going to bump these one last time to give people one more chance to vote.
Seasons 6-10 will come later this week.
