As usual, this is a tough pick, they're all really winners, aren't they? Give 'em all a hand!
I picked "Rocket Attack USA" too. The host segs are some of my very favorites. The McCarthy Hearings, "This started the whole, 'Free Art Clokey' Movement." And then there's the plot recap after the film (a bit I enjoyed when they did it, though I can understand why they wouldn't do it much, if I even remember them ever doing it again...) "Oh, cut to New York, where Harry Connick and Art Metrano eat pizza and buy ties for their stupid girlfriends!"
I love the riffing too: Sam Waterston, "It'll be as if we'd never heard of you." Joel, "It'll be like you were on Thicke Of The Night show." "No one will be admitted during the breathtaking car-parking sequence." "Now back to Clutch Cargo" all the golf-commentator coverage of the Politburo meetings...

This is another season where I like a lot of the choices...my favourites probably being X-M, Jungle Goddess, Lost Continent, King Dinosaur, and Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster (Megalon doesn't do much for me). And even Rocket Attack USA, which was, for a while there, one of the very few MST episodes I had on tape.
I voted for X-M in the end, though, for a few reasons: I think it's really funny, the movie itself isn't that bad, it's a "historic" episode, and it was also one of the very first episodes I saw. (Through the magic of Comedy Central reruns. :P)

I voted for Lost Continent. I think the episode is hilarious and the fact that ii used to love that movie as a kid makes it so much better. Same goes with Godzilla Vs Megalon (another child fav of mine) but i just think that Lost COntinent is a better episode. I can't get enough of the insanely long Rock Climbing sequence.

I guess, looking at the choices, that I'm not a strong Season 2 man. But I went with Lost Continent. Even though there is, in fact, too much rock climbing, I enjoy Hugh Beaumont in anything, and Cesar Romero's good too. Even Monkey Boy doesn't bother me.
King Dinosaur, while perfect in its way for MST3K, just bothers me too much from a technical viewpoint--I'm a science teacher--to enjoy it as entertainment. Those lame-a** scientists should be ASHAMED of themselves! And the "Joey the Lemur" sketch annoys me because it seems like Joel did absolutely no preparation for the bit whatsoever--and I mean that in a bad way.
But I'll still watch it, you know, I'm not psycho about it or anything.

So last night, I watched King Dinosaur again because of the love it's getting in this poll.
I don't see it.
I just don't think it compares to the Godzilla eps.

I just rewatched Rocketship X-M, pretty funny ep. I don't know if I have a distinct favorite for season 2 though, there are about 5 I like about the same.
It's too bad Wild Rebels isn't listed (it hasn't been released yet so it couldn't have tainted the poll). It's one that has really grown on me and has become a favorite.
Actually the ones Rhino has released so far are not my favs from the season. My top half from season 2 would include...
Rocketship X-M Godzilla vs the Sea Monster Wild Rebels King Dinosaur Ring of Terror Rocket Attack USA

Rocket Attack U.S.A...mostly for sentimental reasons, but I feel the host segs are strong.
