I doubt we'll see any surprises here. Even though they're not Rhino, it seems that "Puma Man" and "Final Sacrifice" are eps everyone is familiar with. Nevertheless, I strive to be a consistent and thorough pollster. Prove me wrong, fans of "Space Children". Prove me wrong. I really want to like SPACE CHILDREN because it's in a class of films I enjoy seeing (on MST or not) - the Cold War space-invader type. But the movie is boring and the riffs do not make it more interesting. It's one of many Season 9 and 10 episodes where the movie is so boring that the show became boring as well. When they had a good subject, MST could still put together a great episode, but I think they did not choose their films very wisely.

The above post is the first time I have ever heard someone actually talking about Space Children. It is an episode I always forget about, and I think generally most fans do. The only good thing about it was the Short "Century 21 Calling." I think the only reason why they did Space Children was so they could do a short. Other than that its a weak episode...even the stinger is lame!

The above post is the first time I have ever heard someone actually talking about Space Children. It is an episode I always forget about, and I think generally most fans do. In the few years between MST3K ending its run and me starting to collect episodes off of DAP, I'd read the ACEG entry and reviews of the Space Children with confusion, convinced that I had somehow missed the episode on its initial run. When I finally did get the episode, I realized I had seen it before, I just somehow completely forgotten almost every aspect of it. There's something about it that just doesn't stick in the mind. Even now, when I saw its title, I actually had to think for a few seconds about which one it was ("Oh yeah, the one with Uncle Fester and the woman from The Screaming Skull"), and I can't remember anything specific about it.

Space Children..is really kind of quiet, yeah, but I dunno, I kind of like it. It has a plot, and reminds me somewhat of a Star Trek: Original Series episode, only in black and white. And I liked the ending. So... (shrug)

I'm surprised PROJECTED MAN #901 doesn't get more votes (doesn't got any yet, in fact). This is one of those episodes like LEECH WOMAN where they took a tepid, humo(u)rless piece of tripe and mined it for comic gold.

Every episode in Season 9 is great, but I would rank Gorgo last and that's probably because I've only seen it once.
I like Space Children, especially the short (Century 21 Calling); I guess this episode gets short notice since the movie is kind of crummy, the last part anyway with the slightly obvious "message" of the movie.
I also like "Deadly Bees" a lot, and voted for it simply because I didn't want to see Gorgo or Delta Knights get more votes. But let's not kid ourselves, Puma Man is one of the best episodes ever, hands down, as well as Final Sacrifice! They've got enough votes already though.
