When I saw "Match Point" it was an early weekday matinee, not many people in the theater, and suddenly Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Scarlett Johansson grab a bottle of baby oil. While I did have the thought, "gawd, that's really gonna mess up those sheets. Bad idea", I had to bite my tongue to not reflexively shout, "Baby oil?!?! NOOOOO!!".
Whenever I'm being stymied trying to get into or around a building I mutter, "poorly designed buildings burn my gut". The other day I had to keep myself from shouting, "Cornjob?!". There was no reason for it, the thought just wouldn't leave me alone.

This is sort of on the Esoteric References side of things, but I was watching Kids in the Hall the other day and in the first sketch (before the credits/song) in show #118 Mark McKinney is a guy grilling steaks in the backyard and yelling to his wife about how great it is. Then Bruce McCulloch comes in wearing a fringy black leather jacket and says, "Love me!" several times before leaving. After Bruce leaves, Mark turns to the camera and says, "I wonder what he wanted!"
Could it be that this sketch is the origin of both the "Love me!" and "I wonder what he wanted!" riffs? Hmm . . . It looks like our earliest confirmed appearance of the "I wonder" riff is in 104 which first aired "approx. 12/89" according to Sat. News. While the KITH ep first ran in May of 1990. Now, as you may know, show 104 was actually the last of the season and has a mysterious production number. And the first run date is listed as "approximate". I say it's a possibility.

Sounds to me that they were both referencing the same thing, not one the other.

I dunno. Kids in the Hall weren't known for referencing. They were known for randomness and absurdity.

Whenever anyone at work yells something across the shop to me I respond with, "Sure! You can use it!" For some reason all the other people (non-msties) seem to think it's hilarious.

Another one that's worth mentioning here for me is from Jack Frost. When Grandfather Frost discovers a tree with no frost on it he starts repeating, "This will not do. This will not do."
Servo wonders, "but will it dooo?"
So now after I watch Jack Frost whenever something is disatisfactory in any way I end up saying, "This will not doo! This will not do. This simply will not dooo."
And invariably having to ask myself later. "But will it dooo?"
