Where did the second screen shot come from? I'm guessing the first is from Leech Woman, but I've never seen that ep before. As for the similarity, that occasionaly happens. I know Corman reused props from his movies, Coleman undoubtably did for his.

The second one is from MST:The Movie (i.e. This Island Earth).

TOM: And why do I have a picture of a burger on the wall?

I guess burger pics were popular back then.

CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Just kidding.
That's pretty neat.
Perhaps The Brains want us to eat more burgers. I will endeavor to enjoy a tasty burger everyday.

For the record, that "burger painting", is actually the picture of an island. You can get a better view of it in some of the cut scenes of This Island Earth.
I guess the director wanted to use the painting as a metaphor with the title. Why the painting is present in Leech Woman is beyond me.

Maybe someone who worked on the Leech Woman really liked burgers. I mean, why not?

For the record, that "burger painting", is actually the picture of an island. I figured it had to be something other than a hamburger. Thanks for clearing that up. Besides, for a burger, the bun is way too big and the beef and toppings are far too thin. The big rip-off burger.

They're both Universal films, so it only makes sense that they'd reuse props. I think the burger painting shows up in at least one other episode too (but don't quote me on that).

Hell, they re-used the music from This Island Earth to open The Thing That Wouldn't Die...why not a painting from the Prop Dept?

From Daddy-O's Drive in Dirt at mst3k.com
"Corman's not the only cheap guy in the movie industry. Universal-International reused its cheesy props too. Did you recognize that framed picture over the Talbot's fireplace? It's the same "hamburger" picture that was in Exeter's office in L02-THIS ISLAND EARTH. Do you want fries with that?"
So yeah like some have said it's just a reused prop.
