Sloth, lust, envy, greed, gluttony, bees, and mantises (mantes?).
Be careful to avoid these things, or Kevin Spacey's gonna send you Gwyneth Paltrow's head in a box. Like anyone would want anything of Gwyneth Paltrow's.
Did you know that mantises eat only live insects, including other mantises? Cannibalism, yum.
Or did you know that if a bumblebee queen tries to nest with honeybees, they'll sting her to death? Regicide, neat.
Also, the dog's meat, have you seen it?
Even in today's MST culture of celebrating all things Sci-Fi, these are still two obscure episodes. Which is why I like 'em so much (I'm a snob like that). And in the spirit of these polls, they have virtually nothing in common, so comparing them is completely pointless.
Hooray!

Deadly Mantis: Very good episode, one I like a lot. Deadly Bees: Very bland episode, save for the enigmatic bowler-equipped guy.
I think the choice is clear.

Bees is in my top 20, but Mantis is in my top 10, so Mantis it is!
Plus, it has one of my all-time favorite lines: Crow: But I got a mantis in my pantiss.

Like 'em both, and based on my general life philosophy of "be in the minority if at all possible," I'll go with Bees: What a relaxing vacation! Have you seen my tick farm? Ladies and gentlemen, The Skinnies! The sonnet to the cigarette hag. But the sex is terrific! The bowler guy....all good laughs.

I'm torn. I actually like them both, even though Bees gets overlooked a lot. And I think its Bees that has that woman with the gigantic thumb. Now that would be a good movie. Forget about the Deadly Bees, now about the Gigantic Thumb! Anyway... in the end I went with the mantis. Go figure.

H.A.R.M. had the "big thumbed girlfriend."

I went with Deadly Bees, because I love British horror movies--the clash between politeness and battling EVIL NATURE is hilarious. Not to mention their complete acceptance of no working phones and 9am pub openings. Truly, it is another country.
A depressed middle aged man--myyyyy.

Bee's isn't bad but Mantis is huge! Based on laughs I go with the Mantis, just for the riffing whenever the old guy, Professor Gunther ("When's Jello!") is on screen

Deadly Bees was just deadly boring to me. Deadly Mantis was a perfect movie for MST that they did a great job with. Not to mention that it's fun seeing William Hopper in the dedicated-scientist role, instead of the barely-competent sidekick role he had on Perry Mason.

I like them both but Mantis easily wins out.

Mantis, because it's probably the episode with the most military aircraft stock footage, after The Starfighters, of course!
