Has anyone received the five MST3K shorts? If so, how were you notified? I got an email telling me how to get access to the Rifftrax stuff a while ago, but don't think I've had any info about the MST3k shorts. Thanks.

...I hear that Jonah has stated that although the host segments were filmed out of order the movies were riffed in sequence. If true, that would be a much simpler reason for why a progression is being noticed by a number of people than my 'Joel as master manipulator' theory. Pity, I was quite proud of it.

The episodes were not shot consecutively so there is no actual natural progression. Anything you are noticing in that regard is coincidental, unfortunately. They were probably, however, edited consecutively. So the editor, in fact, is the one who got better at his job of placing the comments over the visuals. Not only that, but the assumption that just because they were not shot consecutively there is therefore no progression is just that, an assumption and not necessarily true. There may be a deliberate attempt to write in a progression by changing the riff rate/content/style for different episodes. I am certainly not saying that's what happened, but at the moment we don't know. Count me in as someone who sees a difference in some of the later episodes than the earlier ones and it is certainly believable that Joel understands these things and is deliberately constructing the episodes to that end. Also count me in as someone who is quite happy to believe the whole thing is random and there is no progression, I don't really care, I'm enjoying the new MST3K whatever.

Got it! Worked like a charm, much appreciated. Just a matter of watching the clock count down to 3 am now...

Is it possible to watch this on an XBOX One then? Can someone tell me how? I can't find a VHX app in the store so I'm lost.

On the Kickstarter site they said they were sending the merchandise out in waves. They were hoping to get all of the T-shirts/postcards out for Christmas but couldn't manage it due to one thing and another, but everyone's should be shipped by early January. I just got my notification that mine was on its way this morning.

RATMM is rec.arts.tv.mst3k.misc. You (or somebody using your name!) posted there last night.
He was quite open about is deduction - even spotted Joel's clue "In a few weeks, before you can say 'Bob's your uncle". Never posted anything here.
Oh well, seem to have annoyed you so back to lurking.

Not quite someone guessed it on RATMM at least 3 or 4 days ago. Doug Elrod's the guy. Used same technique (IMCDB) I believe.

And I need to check out the korean movie, Oldboy, it is supposedly a great film. Don't know about great but it's certainly a fun ride and highly recommended. Heard there is a remake already in the offering (Nicholas Cage no less), didn't it just come out last year? I shudder to think how this will be "adapted" to a main stream market. Oh and "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" is due on DVD in Nov. also.

Saw them on EBAY but didn't see "factory sealed" anywhere, or did you get that info direct from the seller? Lots of his other DVDs look like bootlegs (some even specify DVD-R), but everyone seems happy with them. He still has 8-9 of MST movie DVDs left at the moment, if anyone else wants to risk it (I have!). Pretty sure they're bootlegs though...

The DAP server and website are down. According to IRC they should be back up sometime this (Monday) morning, I'm still connected but I guess no new connections are getting through.
