I remember hearing a little of Radiohead and thinking it might be a band I would like. Then a while back they were on SNL and did two incomprehensible songs. To me just nonsense. Kind of wrote them off then.

A fellow Pixies lover! HURRAY! I'm another Pixies fan too (I even have a copy of that art movie they sing about and, yes, an eyeball is sliced in it). As for Radiohead, I like them but really don't get the fanaticism of their following (I have a friend who thinks they are the greatest band in the world). However, I do attribute some of their fanatical following to the dirth of great bands today. It's just when compared to the great bands of the past that they suffer badly in comparison. What hurts them for me is everything that's been mentioned: lead singer's voice is weak; they sound too much like other bands; and they are too pretentious. They're a good band, but definitely are not one of the greatest bands ever.

You. . . You have the film Un Chien Andalou? Directed by some guy and Salvador Dali? And made in the wonderful world of [glow=green,2,300]France[/glow]?
I am jealous of you, Donmac. However, you are a Pixies lover, and we all need [glow=red,2,300]LOVE[/glow].

I mean, during WW2, Hitler held de Gaulle's head in the toilet for a little while and he gave him France. Oh yeah, and they're very rude, I've been there. Servo

Rockwell)...it's true L. B. tended to make the same movie over and over again, but...I like Belle De Jour a lot...

apropros of the subject, a Radiohead song was just performed by Moby on Conan's NYE show.
"Creep"
I also remember Eric Cartman singing a few lines of this song once on S.P.-the Radiohead episode, of course!
"'Cause I'm a creep, I'm a winner, what the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here"
OK, now we're back to radiohead and all the true fans can tell me how much Creep sux compared to .....

I like "Creep" but I always thought he was singing "I'm a weirdo"!! Was I wrong all these Years? How can he be singing "I'm a winner" if he's a creep?
