I left my cell phone at home.
I don't know what I hate more. That I don't have the phone with me, or that I'm such a damn slave to the bleeding thing that I can't go 8 hours without it near me?
(But what if she sends me a text? What if the studio returns my call? What if... Cripes, It's amazing; I got along just fine in the days of land lines, so WTF am I worried about)

Is there any way you could find out how long you'd be temporary/permanent? If it's going to be something like six months or more, I'd leave that job. It sounds like it's a lot of stress.

My complaint, Ratso and Phantom won't stop posting in "The Trial of Phantom Engineer" thread. LET IT DIE ALREADY!!! I have to win first.

The thing is, they don't know how long they would keep me as temp/perm until after all the budgeting is worked out. They want to make me permanently permanent, but they are not telling me any ideas as far as length of time and stuff. It could be one month, it could be one year. GRRRRR!!!!!!

Are you getting insurance and other benefits? If you are, that's a good sign. What I'd do if it was me in your position is I would make a list of pros and cons for staying with the job....if the cons outweigh the pros, then find something else that can be immediately permanent permanent. Just my two cents.

The benefits wouldn't come unless i was permanently permanent, but they would offer a bigger salary until then to make up for it. I could find another permanently permanent right away sort of jobm, but not in the same city, rather the city I am in now, where it costs twice as much to live and average pay is about 10k/yr lower. The pros outwieght the cons of this job, and I will risk it. I just want to risk it NOW, rather than always be waiting "one more week."

Probably won't be the last time, huh. From now on, instead of the "W" word, I will use the term "B-Boy!"

Oh that's fine but I'm sure there will be many other issues.

I've been pretty depressed today. I can't shake it. I've tried all my usual stuff, but to no avail. I'm sure a good night's sleep will fix this... but today just won't end.
