Hey, I was watching today's MST3K, and between the intro and first host segments, there was a commercial advertising the pending release of the boxed set! I just wanna know if anyone else saw it, because I have the feeling that it was a locally produced commercial due to the quality and the fact that it mentioned a store that I've only heard of in my area. Also, I noticed that it said that the four episodes had never before been released on Video or DVD. The commercial writers have obviously never heard of the Info Club....

I need to watch more TV so I can see stuff like that. Oh well, i've always got CastleForrester and Kazaa.
Which eps were in the box set? The SciFi ones?

Yeah, pretty much. I dunno, I might buy that show for Overdrawn At The Memory Bank, but aside from that it's questionable.

Well, overdrawn at the memory bank was on today, so I recorded it. This recording effected my decision to buy the collection in two ways.
1) Not only did I record the episode, but I've also recorded the MST3K commercial that they showed again. Less need to buy.
2) Sci-Fi continues in its odd determination to refuse to show the Stinger for this episode! What's so wrong with Raul Julia asking "am I nuts?"?
I've gotta buy that collection now out of protest. Fortunately, I know where to get it for less than forty dollars.

I wouldn't think so. I mean, they didn't censor the kid singing the "Rock-n-roll Martian" song, did they?

I don't know what's up with not showing that stinger. I guess Sci-Fi just wanted to hurry up and get to their "more popular" shows like Tremors:The Series or Alien Autopsy or something much better like that.
(Note the sarcasm)

I saw that commercial as well. The movies on it are Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Girl in Gold Boots, Hamlet and Space Mutiny. Sounds pretty cool. Have most people here purchased the older volumes? How are they?

How are they? I haven't bought the collections yet, but i've got two DVD's. The quality is top-notch! I would recommend getting them.
