It's been a truly rewarding experience for myself personally.

For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge it. Lets all download all of them and never buy any new realeses. Why not ? Then no more will come out and we can all be happy with our crappy pirated versions. Don't try to trick the filter, I'll just get ya- VanHagar3000

I think someone needs to turn down H3's sarcasm sequencer. ... but I agree with the comment. DAP is fine for filling in the gaps, but not a replacement for quality releases.

I agree with Rex and Hamburger on this one. To a degree. While I have all of the eps, if a DVD comes out, I'll take the official release anyday.
But that doesn't excuse a screw job double-dip. I shant support marketing with such a clear disregard for the customer. Especially when the customers are as loyal to the product as MSTies. That's just bad business.

Hmm, I said I wasn't going to bitch anymore but let me get this straight.
So after shipping we can spend about $30 in order to get that special, exclusive shorts disc. Which isn't available on the discs you'll get from Best Buy or Amazon (which after shipping or tax will cost about $20 on sale - BUT wont have the "exclusive" DVD)
Add it all up and it's not really free, but hey, that extra $10 bucks is worth it.
Because Rhino isn't going to want to make this widely available on the open market. So they will probably never, ever, include this "exclusive" shorts disc in a future box set release, right?
Because they don't want to rip off people who bought the "exclusive" offer, by offering a future set with this disc on it. Even though there might be several potential buyers who didn't get the special offer and would be happy to see that shorts disc in a set.
Because if they did that, that would be like making those who bought the "exclussive" offer buy that disc twice. Oh, and if they first bought the video version, that's 3 times they purchased it!
Na, Rhino would never, ever do anything that evil.
Phew, I'm glad I reassured myself.

I like how he views Manos as an "extra," which is probably the best way for me to look at it to avoid a lot of frustration. The discount price is pretty much the price of a single disc, and the special offer gives you two unreleased eps for 30 bucks (if you include shipping). So, really, it's not that bad. I'd call it a screw job if the price was just a bit higher.

The reviewer also seems to consider it a release of "Santa Clause Conquers the Martians" with MST3K segments and commentary also included.

I was thinking of getting the exclusive offer to include the SHORTS 3 disc, but decided not to, after seeing it on my parent's VHS tape. I consider these not the best of shorts, compared to ` and 2. In fact, the worst shorts. So I'm sticking with Amazon's order.

The reviewer also seems to consider it a release of "Santa Clause Conquers the Martians" with MST3K segments and commentary also included. Something has always bothered me about how people actually judge the condition of the FILM shown in the episode as part of video quality. Shouldn't the quality of the video be judged based on the transfer of the episode tape to digital format? How the heck is Rhino, or anyone else, supposed to be able to "clean up" the films? The transfer should be judged based on the host segments or any possible tape glitch that appears anywhere in the episode. Sorry, just had to say that.

Shorts volume three has one of my favorite shorts of all time, Once Upon A Honeymoon. For that alone it was a must buy.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I was watching the Sliders marathon on the Sci-Fi channel today, and they aired an ad for this set. It was cool hearing the Torgo theme.

Torgo theme? Was it not the same commercial hosted by Satellite News?
