Since Satellite News is so close to Rhino " ", why can't they tell Rhino that re-releasing Manos is an insult? Can't they please tell Rhino that we dont want that? Or perhaps make a new Rhino poll? I love Satellite News, but sometimes I feel they can do more than they do. Well, I'm pretty sure the guys are telling them that it was a mistake. Maybe they have already told them? There would be a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance ANY company would pull a DVD off just because the fans are pissed. Also, they say they are close but only as close as some people and a company can be probably thousands of miles away talking through a computer. Plus, Sampo (the original ) is a pretty nice guy, he gave my e-mail a quick reply just the other day, although I did try to get him to join and he still said no (he's busy). Too bad even if he posted a few times he could contribute alot when he does (like Don and Skyroiter (sp?))

Sampo (SN Sampo) and Brian Henry have both signed up. They just never posted. Well at least we got that. It'd be pretty ackward if the first time they decided to post they read this thread.

Sampo usually posts at RATMM. Which probably takes up his most of his MB time. I've always felt like an outsider so I hardly visit there.
I'm glad Forrest started this up. It's a board I feel welcome in, I can argue my points without getting flamed and there's no foul mouthed spammers.
But as for the info club, I think they just report the news and try to stay neutral. With Rhino they might want to maintain a working relationship and not rock the boat. They have a source, but how high up on the food chain that source is? Who knows.

I agree with MIghty Jack especially when you phrase it "I love Satellite News, but sometimes I feel they can do more than they do." They're suppose to report the new, not make it, sure they're not the Washington Post but they obviously have some intergrity. Second, I tried joining a newgroup and I think I got a pretty negative responce. Here's where I posted. I don't know whether I'm taking things too seriously or being over sensative (not that I have feelings, I'm a mans man. No, not that kind, I a mans ladies man...I like girls) but that seems to me a pretty clear message of "shut up, we don't like you, get out". Someone want to decifer it for me? Are they just hazing me, so to speak or am I like Billy Madison in Billy Madison and I'm in denial about the whole thing? (NOTE: I apologize for brining up an Adam Sandler movie for an analogy.) You know what, I say letter e-mail campaign. They hows things got done back in the day. BAck in the CC days they scared the crap out of the network into keeping it for all those years. Why not, I really want to know if anyone is with me on this one or if I should do what I usually and forget about after watching something on Green Acres. Boy that Mr. Haney, but I concur.

I think that they don’t want to take sides and risk alienating anyone, which I think is the smart thing to do from a professional aspect. I hardly ever visit there; it seems like there’s always an obituary at the top of the news. Depressing.

I believe that they basically function as an outlet for information. There is no need to risk damaging their relationships to Rhino and/or Best Brains.

(Hey, it's cruel but the pindicked bitch won't let us have our season three episodes)

What are you talking about? I have them. You know exactly what I mean, legally on nice quality DVDs.

You know exactly what I mean, legally on nice quality DVDs. Yeah right. Unlike most of you guys I just don't worry that much about Rhino releasing all the eps. What's the big deal? There are pixilation and darkness issues with Rhino DVDs. And unless they add some really cool extras I just don't see the advantage of paying commercial prices for what I already have from fan copies. So impress me Rhino. If it's worth it I'll buy it. But don't expect me to put out big bucks for the likes of the "Essentials" set.

Another point to consider is just because Rhino listens to them sometimes, doesn't automatically mean they listen to them all the time, especially if Rhino have made their minds up and just want ego stroking "Is this a good idea or what" confirmation from their fans in the know...
