Again, come to the MST3K Cheese-O-Rama and all your questions will be answered. You don't even have to register to read the forum. Bottom line - you have to send your old disc to them. Also I've posted a note of thanks I received from Barb.

I find it very unsurprising that neither side is claiming true responsibility. Rhino says they got an incomplete master and the BBI take is simply that "Rhino has assumed fault." Hey, whatever they want to do to save face, all I know is I'm getting Killer Shrews replaced!

It's so irritating. We missed out the Shorts 3 offer as well... What's this "we" bit? I got Shorts 3, had to jump through hoops and abuse friendship, but... The need to send my copy of Killer Shrews all the way back and pay postage costs internal and external of North America makes it too painful to consider this though, especially over how much footage

It's been two days since I've sent my e-mail and no response yet. Is anyone else still waiting to hear back? I saw the post on the Cheese-o-rama boards, but I feel like I should wait for an acknowledgement of my e-mail before I send anything. Am I being too impatient?

I just got a reply from Dr. Rhino:
As you can see, he did not ask me to return the old disc.

Just checked my e-mail, and I got the same response. I won't hold my breath waiting for it, but seriously, I've got to give Rhino props for making this move.

Since the discs are apparently still being made, there's no point in expecting it anytime soon.

May 20th, from Satellite News:
"THE WHOLE "KILLER SHREWS" MISSING SECTION STORY Almost since the day that the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Volume 7 DVD set from Rhino Home Video was released about a month ago, internet reports have been circulating that the version of episode 407- THE KILLER SHREWS (with short: JUNIOR RODEO DAREDEVILS) included with the set was slightly edited. Sharp-eyed MSTies (are there any other kind?) noticed that about 50 seconds of movie and riffing, just as the movie begins and before the actual title of the film appears (during which the narration sets up the whole "killer shrews" premise), was not included.
Rhino has come clean and admitted the goof, extends it apologies, and has set up a system whereby you can get a replacement for that disc.
Send an email to drrhino@rhino.com. In the email, tell them you would like a replacement disc for Volume 7, Disc 4 of the "MST3K Collection" and DON'T FORGET to give them your name and full mailing address. DO NOT email Barb at Best Brains about this, even if you purchased it through the Info Club. Get your replacement directly from Rhino.
Also, thanks to the many many many many people who emailed us about this, and apologies for the lag from the time that you informed us about this and our announcement now. Rhino asked us to hold off until they got the replacement discs in stock, which they now do."
Now let us see how long it takes for our replacements to come.

When someone receives their replacement let us know please.

I suspect you will first be sent a bubble mailer and asked to send the disc back to them and then you will get the correct shrews. I would recommend doing a dvd-r back since mst3k is only dvd-5 and will fit on one dvd since the wait could be a while.
