Still no disc, and now there not even answering back with the standard reply. Any one else? Got this note back from Rhino today: We are in the process of sending out replacement discs. You will receive one and we thank you for your patience.
Dr. Rhino Well, that's encouraging, at least they rephrased it this time.

I said it before, I'll say it again. I think they're sending them to the best looking people first.

Update: I sent them an e-mail (my first) last Thursday and on Monday I got an e-mail back, with a link to a form they have on their website to fill out your address and send to them. So now I think you don't have to e-mail them, just go online and fill out the form. rhino.com/mst3k/vol7.lasso

This is the only reason I haven't sent in mine. Must keep my Killer Shrews at all times!

Okay incredibly stupid question.
I bought volume 7 of the MST3K, and when I read of the missing dialogue on Killer Shrews, I politely emailed and was sent another disc.
But I watched it and it looks exactly the same as what I watched before.
What was supposed to be missing? I didn't notice anything missing.

About 50 sec of a dramatic voice over about shrews before the opening title.

valeyard, Depending on when you bought Vol. 7 determines if you got the incomplete disc
I'm guessing they recalled the ones that were in stores at the time and sent out corrected ones (if they were smart). I got Vol. 7 last month, forgetting that I had previously heard about the screw up, and it isn't missing any dialog (thankfully!), so hopefully the volumes in stores now are all fixed

Oh, THAT'S lovely!
I was just AT Border's Books and Music, and Volume 7 was there, and I had the money to buy the set, but then remembered about the screw up on Killer Shrews.
Now I come back and find out, that the sets in stores have replacements on them! I had it there! I coulda bought it instead of waiting for Rhino to send me my copy! And I could have gotten the other episodes on the set too! I am such a dickweed!
If you never hear from me again, it's because I punched myself to death.

Nah, no need to punch yourself. There's no way of ensuring that the discs at the store are the corrected ones. Contacting Rhino is definitely the quickest way. Plus, corrected sets may not have even reached stores yet.

I highly doubt they issued a recall. I'm sure they just waited until the next printing to include the corrected disc.
I'm waiting until the end of the year to get the set. Hopefully the bad discs will be completely out of most store's stock by then.

I wish there was a way to be able to tell if the sets have the corrected disc in them. The one I got came from Best Buy, so maybe they sold more from there and got fixed ones in? Who knows...
