Personally, I think 909 is way too English to watch. More English than The Projected Man. I've always had a hard time getting through it. As for 323...whoo...talk about your hard sells. The movie is on par with Monster a Go-Go, but the riffing certainly isn't of the same quality. I agree with you 95%. IMO 323 is the worst episode ever I like Hamlet more! I don't think I will ever watch it again. And I find Gorgo to be very boring. The only funny thing was Crow saying "No I need drugs" But I don't think it was as bad as The Projected Man which is another I might never watch again.

Great news for me, I've never seen either episode. I've only seen about five minutes of Hobgoblins, so I'm with you.

I think you have to have a tolerance for abysmal movies to like 323, and 421. Now I know you'll say you do, but I'm talking black hole, deep darkness, hellish bad movies. Gamera is a masterpiece compared to these. You really have to have a Frank Conniff attitude (the liker of abysmal movies) to like these episodes. Luckily I do.

I like those movies too, especially the Coleman Francis movies. I find movies where things edited together to be rare gems, Monster A-Go Go, Fu-Manchu have their own warped style like it's from another dimension.
As for Volume 8 knowing 2 episodes already i'll just deduce. They haven't done one season 7 episode (season 1 was done even! crawling hand) and have released all genres except for the secret agent one. And also going from 2 b&w and 2 color movies ratio and recently 3:1 Joel:Mike or Mike:Joel number of episodes this one looks like to be 3 mike and 1 joel (or can be anything) so Season 7 episode either Night of the Blood Beast or Brute Man, each one black and white. The other would be a joel secret agent movie so that's a wild guess. or i might be completely wrong and they just throw darts at episode names to pick one.

It would be cool if they made it 2 Mike episodes and 2 Joel episodes but, I can live it they have at least one CC era ep on this set.

I agree...the volumes are either Mike heavy or Joel heavy. I'd like it to be more evenly distributed between the two.
I have yet to see any season 7 eps. I hope they get around to releasing Laserblast and Melting Man...I caught both on the tube during late-night monster fests in the early 80's and would love to catch the Mystied versions.

Is it true that the original airing of Phantom Planet had a bad soundtrack. I heard that the problem was fixed for the later re runs.

I call foul! Gorgo is not too English, why? Because my people are an important part of it. The Irish! Sure the Brits get stomped on, but Gorgo's one of us, Irish through and through. Mama's taking him home and the lesson? Never mess with us Potato heads again!
I love Gorgo, especially the first part. I watch while eating my Lucky Charms and laugh and laugh I do.

That's just too boring. Makes Monster a-Go Go look like it's going at break neck speed and action packed. Kidding....actually....

The last few days I have been really curious as to what the other episodes on the set are going to be. I have a feeling this set is really going to be heavy on the Mike era (which is fine with me) I just hope they have at least one Joel episode on the set.... just to keep that mix.

well it probably wont be Gorgo, they lost that one on Sci-Fi pretty fast.
Do you think they are looking hard into getting the rights for Puma Man and Final Sacrifice?
Wouldn't it be a kick if it actually was Zilla vs Megs? Man, everything would be possible after that! Hell, I might even try and walk on water if that happened! lol

What I've been wondering is when they're going to announce it. I thought this would be a fall release.

They gotta be shooting for the Christmas season. Big money time. If thats the case it's gotta be announced and ready for pre-orders by September.

They'll have fans going "wow, they did it, they got the best episode, gotta give 'em that." I didn't know about having the Gorgo rights lost quickly. MJ, if you're still online, please post anymore of these things in the "Likelihood for Rhino Releases" Thread. If you want credit, I'll give ya some.

I don't know. 4 & 5 were all Mike. Essentials & 6 were all Joel (except for the shorts comp). Really, I don't think it matters to Rhino, it's just going to be a hodge podge.
